@thirdeye-guy I started with the sim too. On thing it doesn't do well is landing. It feels really weird and if you are using Air mode it will try to compensate being jostled around if you just lower the throttle to touch down. Best bet is to get as low as possible on a blanket or landing pad placed over grass and disarm a few inches off the ground for the first practice runs.

Can confirm this is all normal for ordering a drone from iFlight. The crossfire antennas need mounted by the user. The batteries are mislabeled and on purpose because 4500mah is the biggest they can ship...yeah so they miss label on purpose... be nice if they told you. So yes those are actually 5600mah 95c lipos. Order FPV stuff from Pyrodrone if you can. And holy shit fly the SIM and a 5 inch before you absolutely destroy that thing. It's nothing like a DJI and more like a 3D helicopter if you've seen people fly those.

I wasn’t sure if my drone had been opened by the person they accidentally sent it to before it came to me 😅 I will definitely check out Pyrodrone thank you 🙏🏼 and don’t worry, I am a master at the Sim and I plan to take it super slow for the first several flights 🐢

Thanks so much dude! Yea when I first flew in the Sim I got motion sickness and almost puked from how many times I spiralled out of control and crashed 🥴 if that was with a real drone… it would be in 1000 pieces 🤣 but I’ve come a long way! I feel confident that I can do this 🤞🏼

@@boydsleator9075 I stopped crashing in the sim after about 4 hours (when I learned about rates) and then since I-Flight took an extra month to get the drone to me I’ve put in over 50 hours, I have to check on my computer to see the exact number. I feel really confident, the only thing that worries me is if the Sim actually translates to real life 😅
@ you might be ok. I had about 80 or 90 hours in before flying. Do you have anyone to fly with who has flown before? I take it the sim you use has a cinelifter feature?
@ I have a couple people that have flown before, I can ask them to come spot me for sure 🙏🏼 I’m using Velocidrone and Liftoff, I haven’t seen a cinelifter option but I made custom drones to be as heavy as possible. What sim has cinelifter options? I’d definitely like to try that out 😅

I made a custom drone in the sim with all the heaviest possible parts and I’ve been practicing with that 😅 hopefully it’s enough…I’m in Canada so worst case I’ll crash land in the fluffy snow. ❄️

I’m not gonna start doing flips and flying through hoops 👀 just gonna start by slowly raising throttle, get the drone 1 foot off the ground, fly a couple of feet forward, and land. See how it feels and slowly increase. Even with this you think I will definitely crash? 😮 I don’t have unlimited money lol and I definitely don’t want to kill anybody 🤣

But problem with FPV drones that there is a lot of things can go wrong even before you take off. like charging batteries, installing props right direction, bind to you radio etc. That's only setup. This drone should be mostly setup but not fully. By the way do not try to update it or you will remove all settings! RTF function probably disabled from factory. And it should be setup manually (depends of take off weight, obstacles around, weather condition) So in event of using "GPS Rescue" the drone probably just fall down. Do not power you drone with no antenna installed Do not stay close to it when it powered with battery Do not push full throttle more than 5-10 second Do not discharge you batteries less than 3,5 by cell This is just some rules. There is more. So taking 5inch drone to learn all of it is a good thing. At least it will cut only a few finger. Not a whole hand. If you going to start FPV with that drone please find some one near by who have experience in FPV and do it together. Stay safe Bro!

The battery is labeled wrong, if they wh/h exceeds 99.9 they need special regulation for the batt, hence the sticker
