BG is totally right about how budgeting helps you gradually shrink down your own spending habits! When I first started off my budget it was also a bit ridiculous and I was a spender! But as I got more into the groove of bugeting, I found it was like a fun challenge to see how low I could go!

I love seeing this. I can relate, so many of the videos I've been watching have obvious fixes. A gainfully employed couple paid off debt, a person moved in to their childhood home and got rid of all of their bills and figured out how to pay off their debt... Why the heck would they?! Lol. Entiendo que habla del ahorro en casa aunque no se el ingles.
Lots of ppl on here whining they have more school debt and make less, my question is WHY DID YOU GO TO COLLEGE? Just to come out and make no $ and live with crushing debt?? Probably should've re-thought your major in terms of 'Can I actually make $ at this?'.
Mrs. Garcia Many people do not have good advice from the outset. If this kind of thing we're taught at schools it would be so much better. Often people start their education thinking any education is better than none but that is not the case.
Because at ages of 13-18 America sells the idea that you must know what you have to do and you have to go to college right away. So you have these 17/18 y.o taking on student loan debt on a plan that they think they want to do, so then either the jobs arent there or they ultimately decided not using that degree. Now 4years later, $50,000+ debt, 6month after they graduate it hits them, "oh shit, I owe real money."

January 18, 2018: Excellent job Sarah! My story is much more disturbing, now that I've turned 62. (I've lived below the poverty line since 1991, after naively placing my faith in televangelists like Trinity Broadcasting Network or TBN. Taking a bible to work at the military base did NOT go over well, and led to my resignation. A TERRIBLE MISTAKE.) Nevertheless, I still believe in God and his miracle-working power. Wisdom: 1) Indeed, the LORD will give what is good, and our land will yield its produce. Psalm 85:12; and 2) If evil parents can give good gifts to their children, how much more will our Heavenly Father give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11} Blessings, Kate

33k is a drop in the bucket student loan wise. I'm glad she is out of debt, but honestly I and others have way more debt and less income. I rather see those stories
Nessa Daisy Nursery, Planning, & Vlogs I started with over 60k making less than her. If you really want to get out of debt, you will do it no matter what your income is.
Try focusing on her advice instead of her debt/income ratio. It's applicable for anyone who wants to save and/or get out of debt. Your only option is to spend less or earn more and she gave tips on how to do both of those.
