Here is my Idea for sound type. I tried to make it make sense while also addressing some balance issues. Primarily the strength of steel and water as defensive type and fairy as an offensive type Offense: Super Effective: Things that amplify or carries sound waves well - Water (sound travels much further over water) - Steel (excellent resonator like Z said there’s a reason most musical instruments are made or metal) - Flying (Flying is basically the air type. Sound waves travel through the air. This is one I didn’t think of until doing some research) - Rock (Go into a tunnel and yell really loud. That’s some A+ Amplification) Not Very Effective: Things that dampen or don’t care about sound - Ground (I saw this as an opportunity to spectate ground and rock as a type because they’re often lumped together type chart wise. Ground deadens and suppress sound somewhat.) - Grass (Same reason as Ground also I figured I’d give the grass type a bit of a boost) - Bug (Definitely needs the boost and if you’ve ever heard cicadas at night you know bugs are loud as hell) - Ghost (Can’t be hurt by sound much if you’re dead, but ghosts don’t need another immunity so it’s just a resistance - Sound (Sound waves can cancel each other out. They can also amplify each other but I figure if the Pokémon makes loud sounds they got to at least be a little resistant to it as well) Defense: Weak: Basically all the stuff that it wasn’t very effective on minus sound for all the same reasons - Ground - Grass - Bug - Ghost Resist: Basically the same as the Super effective plus sound - Sound - Water - Rock - Fairy (The fairy type has been associated with singing and entrancement specifically because jigglypuff is quite a popular pokemon. It makes sense for the sound type to resist sound based attacks) Immunities: - Steel (Steel is the strongest type in the game and most instruments incorporate metal) - Confusion (Not sure about this one but I fee like it makes sense. Could be very overpowered)
Idk how much these are edited but the edit at around 21:50 was kinda jarring. I hope it doesn’t become commonplace. Maybe it’s just cause I was a video listeninf
You guys need to play werewolf on the podcast like you did in the really old video, only this time Jordan will be playing. Maybe if you explain the rules beforehand to him, it could be very interesting!
I would definitely watch the Underdogs doing Whose Line skits in a video. Great idea Jackson! I think Zack just needs to see some Whose Line Party Guest, Scenes from a Hat and other games being done to get a feel for how it's to be done Call it 'Whose Down Under Anyway?' Addenum: Have Sophie host while the boys do the improv. Some Scenes from a Hat ideas to start off: -Things you can say about Australia but not your girlfriend -What Sophie is thinking right now -Things your American audience needs explained(like what's a magpie, wombat, meter?)
I reckon that the Sound type should resist things that create a lot of noise (electric for thunderclaps, flying for large gusts of wind plus air carries sound waves, steel for large machinery and also instruments tend to be made of metal) since they would only amplify the noise. Then it is super effective against psychic and fighting due to loud noise breaking focus, ground because glass is made of sand and loud noises break glass (a stretch, I know), and flying due to the air carrying sound waves thing. Types that would resist sound would be things that make sound difficult to hear or that don't produce sound at all (its difficult to hear through water, ghosts and bugs don't make noise, and dark types are sneaky)
Starter suggestions: Grass: Graspit, a rabbit bandit Pokémon (grass-dark) who is basically a green rabbit with a mask and a sack for stolen items. Evolves into Grabbit (same type) who looks a bit like Nabbit but green. Final evolution is Stealit, a steel-grass Pokémon who looks like a silver-green rabbit without a mask or a sack (because he looks more unassuming) Fire: Embird, a friendly bird (fire-flying) Pokémon who loves to give hugs, but everyone runs away when he tries because he’s really hot. Evolves into Firug (fire) who gave up on flying due to the lack of hugs and only hugs other fire types. Firendly (fire-dragon) controls his bodily flames and now hugs any friendly Pokémon he comes across Water: Wateraid, an energetic mermaid Pokémon (water) who plays tricks (good or bad) on other small Pokémon in the water. Evolves into Hydrixie (water), a chill pixie who blesses ships with calm (ish) oceans. Evolves into Hydrairy, (water fairy) who flies around her territory and ensures the area has plenty of water Idk if these Australian enough, but I really wanted some starters who are all pretty good and even
If you've heard the aunty donna podcast, they do a similar variant of that improv game called "party quirks". They send one person out of the room while the others discuss what they're characters will be, so the audience knows the characters and only one person doesn't who is trying to work them out. Worth trying it out again!
It's about a spectrum, sorta. Obviously, you aren't normal than SUDDENLY dying of dehydration. The moment you need any amount of water to return to "standard" levels is the moment you are dehydrated, even if it's by a few mol. So when you are dehydrated, it can trigger thisrt. Thus, when you're thirsty, you're MIDLY dehydrated, where the thirst is the primary and often ONLY symptom of thirst.
I can’t wait for the diss vid!!!! I feel like there was some missed potential for Zack to Roast Alpharad, however, if there’s a line in his diss versus choc about him being the better “Alpharad clone”, (even tho I am a firm believer that they both aren’t clones) that would be so good
Sound would be cool to recontextualize older pokemon like exploud's line, chatot, and the many pokemon that can learn sing or other song type moves. Maybe regional forms of those that already have 2 typings.
I think what you're thinking of is a segment on the twilight zone where William Shatner plays the guy who thinks there's something on the wing of the play. Tbh I think the Simpsons segment is more well known though
Ngl when Jordan says theres not enough space in Pokemon he is absolutely true. Why isn't there a space base/moon themed game. The cosmis aspects related to some pokemon already are super cool
For devolution maybe some Pokémon might have special devolutions with a new evolution like many a pug Pokémon can devolve into a less inbred pug and the devolution can evolve into a Pokémon as strong as the other but in different ways ie maybe base pug is bulky but devolved and revolved pug is fast
Does anyone watch Adam Ruins Everything? There is an episode about drinking water and hydration. Peter is correct at least according to someone else on the internet and the doctor they consult.
This has truly been one hour of unrivaled audio entertainment
Loving that the boys are challenging Peter when he's stating things as facts
Like the vitamin rant? XD
@@choppercove an unfortunate byproduct of the 11 year old mind

this comment doesnt have enough appreciation for how good it is. i really hope the boys make this game and use this
*Things you can say on a boat, but not at a wedding*
Me immediately: there's sea men everywhere!
👍🏾
That happens after the wedding
This truly was the sharkiest tank of all time.

How does Jordan get the funniest possible ending to the podcast so often
He's the funniest underdog
This podcast is truly unrivaled 🙌

I loved that game

catching this podcast super early bc of my bad sleeping habits lol
Same! 4:38am for me right now 💪
Same
I don’t like edited too much, I actually love the pauses and awkward moments. Watching the pod isn’t 100% about entertainment but how real it feels
Staying awake rn because of an ear illness thanks to that I can watch the new pod
This is one of the podcasts of all time 💪💪‼️
Right as I hit my break at uni the new pod comes out 👌😔
Hopcat needs to look up flaws in the human anatomy because his thesis statement is based on the human body functioning when it absolutely does not
the world needs a Pokemon Underdogs fangame
Love that jackson was correcting the know it all god peter lmao
I've drank 3 litres of water while listening to this podcast
This third Pokemon bit has to be one of the best moments of the Underdogs Podcast😂

A full "whose line is it anyway" video would be so hype!
It’s so funny to hear Peter reference “new memes” that have been months old on TikTok.
4 starters will be a cool change to the formula. one each!
is “i do jiu jitsu” the new “i play basketball”
zack really said "pandolin" 💀
I love the longer podcasts these days.
Starter suggestions:
Grass: Graspit, a rabbit bandit Pokémon (grass-dark) who is basically a green rabbit with a mask and a sack for stolen items. Evolves into Grabbit (same type) who looks a bit like Nabbit but green. The Aus version of the Koala Pokemon has GOT to be a dropbear
39:45 fun fact an ankylosaurus was apparently only 5’6 and was 4 tons and 20ft long
The "man on the plane movie" is actually a famous twilight zone episode
If you've heard the aunty donna podcast, they do a similar variant of that improv game called "party quirks". i’m glad that zack is appealing to the american audience by giving us the gun pokémon
Pretty sure Zack is right about the hydration thing, by the time you feel thirsty you are already dehydrated
You guys are the best!
I love Who's line is it anyway! Please do this more!!!!
Hop: what do youean by dehydrated?
Cogger: you're not hydrated.
😂😂😂😂
Hear me out, the new underdogs game is Pokemon fork and spoon. Then dondo could be legendary 🤣
So glad I revisited this, I don’t remember any of Peter’s Pokémon
I can’t wait for the diss vid!!!! I feel like there was some missed potential for Zack to Roast Alpharad, however, if there’s a line in his diss versus choc about him being the better “Alpharad clone”, (even tho I am a firm believer that they both aren’t clones) that would be so good
Truly an underdogs moment when hopcat said something about monetization and not even three seconds pass and my video gets an ad
"all instruments are made out of metal"
Basically every string instrument just cringed
Sound would be cool to recontextualize older pokemon like exploud's line, chatot, and the many pokemon that can learn sing or other song type moves. Maybe regional forms of those that already have 2 typings.
YES, YES FINALLY MY TAG HAS COME OUT TO THE PUBLIC! Jrizzle!!! I put that on so many setups at TGX!
Would love to see a full video with pokemon shark tank, and maybe Kiana can hop on board aswell
peter just so u know king of skill looks just like the og pog face
Always a good day when they upload
Love the podcast
An underdogs pokemon romhack would go so hard.
Put this on spotify already…
Peter's Fartvark is already a video game character. It's called Wario :P
I'm not even a pokemon fan but the pokemon bits are really entertaining and interesting
If the pokemon game gets made. The underdogs have to represent the elite 4
Ooh, throwback to Don'tDo!
43:07 zack, brother man dude =) there's more in the world than australia and america, you should try looking that up
That reminds me of that Vernias joke where he accidentally implied that the world was just America and Japan.
The new I play basketball: I play jujutsu
Peter's pokemon may have been stupid, but that pokedex entry was top tier.
perry should be a flying type whenever their is rain because hes covered in oil
The skit was hilarious 😂
I think what you're thinking of is a segment on the twilight zone where William Shatner plays the guy who thinks there's something on the wing of the play. Tbh I think the Simpsons segment is more well known though
If the fan game ever does get made it better be set in Australia
potition for regional komala's log to be a energy drink.
Name a more iconic duo than stud and dud :)
Plz put this on Spotify guys 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ngl when Jordan says theres not enough space in Pokemon he is absolutely true. Why isn't there a space base/moon themed game. The cosmis aspects related to some pokemon already are super cool
Anyone know what monthly they're talking about?
I thought the title said Jordan goes chubbing and honestly I'm not surprised
I agree with Peter. Drink when thirsty. Over drinking water flushes out microbiota, electrolytes, etc. More isn't really better
Love y’all
Unsurprising that Little Z, the pun master, would be great with Fakemon names
Now I want Wolfey come to a Sharpedo thank and rate the viability of each pokemon they make
The Pokémon sound more like Yo-Kai from Yo-Kai Watch.
Wooo 🎉 podcast it’s my birthday tomorrow
I think what Peeter means is the water bottle and constant water consumption idea is a *Cash Grab* and not a Scam
Is anyone keeping track of all the Pokemon designed? I'd love to see it develop over time
The region should be called Ostralind From Australian but with Oceania and New Zeland
Included in is said like oce-strail-ind
Jackson’s game was so funny
zacks wearing shoes????
For devolution maybe some Pokémon might have special devolutions with a new evolution like many a pug Pokémon can devolve into a less inbred pug and the devolution can evolve into a Pokémon as strong as the other but in different ways ie maybe base pug is bulky but devolved and revolved pug is fast
Damn Hop why not bust out the grippers again? 🥵👌
POG NEW DROP
jackson looking a bit different this week
Id make an underdogs pokemon game tbh
Not including when jordan had food poisoning. When was the last time Jordan's question of the week didn't feature in a podcast? 😢
I think Who’s line is it anyways would be a great IRL video
We want the grippers back!!!
Underdogs go to the footie when?
Poppt gripper special!
Golly gee that joke Peter made when they were talking about giraffe golfers was hilarious
im not a fan of the sound type but i love the new pokemon
Does anyone watch Adam Ruins Everything? There is an episode about drinking water and hydration. Peter is correct at least according to someone else on the internet and the doctor they consult.
Eucalypdeez nuts
49:25
why
How is there no Shark Tank for Smash inclusions aka Smash Tank?
I really don't like the editing. It'll hard cut to completely different conversation topics and it's always so jarring.
JRizzle!!!!
Make a drop bear pokemon, fill in more of Australian culture
Why tf does Peter know all this random stuff
Speaking as an American, what the hell is "the footie"?
rugby
Oh no, he’s gone too far. Careful Zack, or else the rest of the underdogs are going to start a revolution.
