Yeah, that was a toss. As a kid, i bet you took care of your toys pretty well. I do like the mcfarlane "stand" you found for the figure at the very end though. 😂
The sculpt and paint look amazing. My wallet is really happy about the ankles as it gives me an excuse to avoid another rabbit hole. The neca assassins creed and crucible figure give me serious Skyrim vibe seeing them together.
Hey man, thanks for the review. I have not received mine yet, but I believe the arms are like Mafex’s. The shoulder piece connects with the elbow and the biceps is just an over piece. You can see it quite detailed on fwoosh’s review of Mafex tiger stripe Wolverine, at around 5min. I got only the exclusive on the kickstarter and have 3 more as preorders on bbts. Now I’m wondering if they are worth it. I don’t mind using stands (and I’ve been thinking of putting small magnets on some figures feet to act as a invisible stand), but they might be too floppy even with a stand. I think that it would be better to not have the toe hinge, which would make it more stable.
For the most part they did a good job on the figures themselves but the customer service and overall attitude of the creator in my experience was found very lacking. I despise companies that think they're above reproach and that feel you need them more than they need you. Again in my experience that can go pretty badly if you ever find yourself in need of a replacement or requesting a refund due to disappointment with inferior products.
Great review. I didn't order any of these yet. I'll have to check out some other reviews on them to see if you got a dud or if it's a common issue. My shelves are too tightly packed to add a figure I KNOW might nosedive and take others out. That lazy Susan sure doesn't make it easy when they don't stand well.
I got two figures. I have issues with the ankles on both of them. I'm going to have to wind up using nail polish on those ankle joints to tighten those joints.
Great review. Thanks for the heads up about the ankle. I have the same figure arriving tomorrow hopefully. I will see if mine is the same. If it is widespread, I hope they can address it for wave 2 (most of my order was wave 2 figures).
I was glad you shared your frustration about the ankles. It needs to be made clear that some are having real problems with this one area. Maybe if enough say it, the creators (William Post) will fix it going forward.
I don’t work for them or get free product, so my honest opinion is what I have to live by. Almost everything else is great, and I sure hope that going forward this is one thing they address and fix. Also my frustration at the end was amped up cause I spent a lot of time trying to do different poses for the end and he just kept falling over.
Damn Punk, I was so confused till the end. Lol. I can totally see how an awesome figure like this can let you down with weak ankle joints. Great review as always. 💯
