I love that what cured rudeus was not sex, but rather it was Sylphy not leaving him. Eris leaving him left some deep scars

They did try an hour before Rudeus gave up. Rudeus was DEFINITELY overthinking it. Along the lines of "Eris left because I was bad at it. I can't mess this up again. Not here, not with the one I declared I love." Regular performance anxiety.

14:16 Rudeus taking Sylphie as a wife was treated in the book and manga as something that completely surprised everyone in the room, and that reaction surprised Rudeus. After all, if you take a woman's virginity, you have to bear responsibility and marry her, right? Having started with the manga, I was confused for a few years as well, before I hit up on a detail about Rudeus: he's still a noble. He has no title or inheritance, but he still carries noble blood. Him marrying Sylphie elevates her to nobility. The others likely expected him to take her under his protection as a mistress or a concubine, but taking her as a wife was likely seen as a greatly egalitarian deed. Ariel herself was moved by the declaration, saying it's a finer solution than she could've imagined. Ariel essentially accepted Sylphie as a noble with two words: "Sylphiette Greyrat." From a hunter's daughter to a noble; not necessarily rags to riches, but she has been elevated in their society.
I think they were surprised about Ariel because the anime isn't clear that Ariel is Bi (they probably though that Ariel was gay, so why would she know how to seduce men?). But yeah, she did get "education" about it too.
@6:42 Nah I don't think he's a jerk, he's just a little too blunt. I mean, in this episode alone, he stands up for Rudy when Ariel is cracking jokes, gives Sylphie a 100 gold aphrodisiac to help with it, and helps her when she's flustered at the marriage proposal by gently pushing her forwards. Dude's got a heart of gold.
i think in the light novels it was 10g but thats still around 8000 dollar bottle. Luke is such a homie.
@@juusovuolle8251 It was 10g when Fitoa still existed (when Rudeus was a kid). After the Teleportation incident, there's no one else who makes them, so surviving stocks skyrocketed in price.

I'm glad you caught up with the new season, I hope they continue with the new episodes that for me retake the level of direction of the first season, just don't watch the opening because although it's not so loaded with spoilers as the fans of the light novel say, there are one or two very clear spoilers that can ruin the experience. The ending has no problems.
Yeah OP spoiled me a lot too. Although I already know what's gonna happen. But still takes my hype away.

Eris won't be coming back to the story until season 3 Propably part 2. I think she is like 20 years old when she is reunited with Rudeus. Unless you are part of the church of Millis taking several wifes is not a problem in Mushoku Tensei. I'll leave it at that.
