Probably some cracked solder joint somewhere, that was under stress and is now realigned to work properly. Don't expect this to last forever, as it will corrode sometime and fail again. But as long as it works, enjoy measuring your blood pressure!
Thanks for your reaction, I agree with you. I expected the same or a bad contact that could be cleaned as done with the Fluke. I put some stress on the solder joints to repeat the unwanted situation but it continued to work fine. If it breaks again I can try to find the cause.
