I know they've toned down the games because of injuries and the members being older, but that also meant they focused on more situations where they just stood around and babbled at each other, which is not SJH's strong point and never has been, even in the early years of RM and I'm not counting the Monday Couple banter between her and Gary. The bridge was practically a throwback to early days of RM and SJH once more was able to show the luck, courage and intuition long-time fans of RM always knew she had.
The other commenter is right. Jihyo's general attitude did not change, what changed were the dynamics of the members and conceptualization of the show. RM was initially a variety/sport oriented show, they focused much more seriously on games before and she excelled. The jokes about her monday line with Gary gets her much airtime as well. When Gary left, when members focused more on being funny and engaging with funnier members at the threat of getting fired (because of kjk/jh fiasco in 2016), arrival of new members, games getting less extreme for the ageing members and the show's concept gearing more on comedy variety, from all of those changes jihyo's passive nature became more apparent. After their 2019 concert episode I think they noticed the huge support of fans for jihyo so members started actively engaging with her again (aside from lks many fans credited sukjin as the member who often make an effort for jihyo to secure airtime). Jihyo is not the talkative type, she rarely initiate a conversation but she always try her best be it in games or to be entertaining if given opportunities.
