Matt has CONFIRMED that Mauricio Pochettino will be Chelsea's next head coach. Todd Boehly & Behdad Eghbali have co-signed this deal, apparently 3-year contract.

I hope we get rid of players first of all. Make a few signings in the positions we need. As long as Boehly nd Co. stay out of the dressing room next season we should be fine. Dont have much expectations next season, just want to see a solid foundation implemented.
Always like hearing matt Law's take on things. Great show. I'll be honest. I don't see Potchettino as an "elite" coach. He has had opportunities to win trophies and always fallen short, apart from his second year in France of course, with five "Galacticos" signed, on top of an already decent squad containing the likes of Neymar and Mbappe. We must be in a really bad place (We are) because he appears to have morphed from "Potless Potch" and "The Bridesmaid", into practically, the second coming of the Christ. I just don't get it.That said, he'll get my 100% support when he becomes Chelsea manager and I'll be praying that I'm wrong about him. One thing I would say though, having listened to your excellent podcast and others, is that maybe he's what we need RIGHT NOW. Some of these prima donnas, need a hard pre-season under their belts and a work ethic introduced to them. Ziyech, Cucurella and Sterling probably need arrowing. I'm hoping he does as well, as some people think and proves me wrong. He'll. certainly organise us more than Graham Potter managed, but so could my Gran and she died in 1987, so onwards and upwards. UTC ! and welcome Potch.

The last 2 times chelsea had a clear identity , we won the league and Europa league respectively. I think Poch will take turn Chelsea into a serious team again . Hopefully the players will buy in .

Todd Boehly and his cohorts are terrible at running my beloved club. Spent more than 20% of the purchase price in one season to finish 11th... Every decicion being wrong means that they're purposefully trying to ruin CFC...
IF Pochettino gets the best out the players at Chelsea, he'll be the best managerial signing at Chelsea since Mourinho.

matt & many other journalists & content creators relentlessly lied about Boehly's qualifications & competence as a potential club owner & as a result, Chelsea are Decimated & face years of reconstruction that can not even begin until Boehly & all the career failure execs, management etc that Boehly hired are cleaned out!

I think if we'd gone for the likes of Enrique, we'd have had another touched situation. I was told by a good source at the club that Tuchel told Boehly and Co., that they knew sweet FA about football, in no uncertain terms, but in front of the players and didn't want to interact with them whilst he was working with the team. I think some really elite managers would have been exactly the same. Potchettino managed to work with Levy for five years, which at least makes him a good diplomat. I think that's been a deciding factor. I'm not so hung up on the Spurs thing, these guys are just mercenaries, no real allegiance, it's not great, but Hoddle did decent things for us, that started a revolution, so maybe lightening will strike twice.
The state we are in at the moment he was clearly the best candidate for the job out of the candidates they looked at...2 years ago under Roman i would have said No Way but things are different for us now.
