- It is long known that the Fairy folk are out in force in the month of May, which is fabulous, but as with all things Fairy, is also complicated. Beltane is one of the most amazing times of the year for Fairies. The time you are most likely to see a Fairy, be attacked, abducted, seduced or tricked by a Fairy. This has to be, without doubt, the most dangerous time of the year to go Fairy spotting. So what is Beltane? and why does do Fairies love it? I'm Kitty, let me tell you all about it...

Fascinating description of Beltane!
They say those celebrations are where the Robinson, Jackson and Hobson families all came from. They use to be Robin's son, Jack's son and Hobb's sons. And all came into being during fertility rites on Beltane. Most born 9 months later under the horned sign of Capricorn. Robin was sometimes called Jack and sometimes "Old Hobb". At least that's what our family's oral history says.
Well, as you know, now is the month of maying, when merry lads are playing. So, put a pin in that.
Also, and not coincidentally I may add, say, dainty nymph, and speak, shall we play barley break?

While watching this video I remembered some people think the place where I was born and raised -- Florida, USA -- has no seasons. This is actually incorrect. Florida has TWO seasons:
(1) HURRICANE SEASON
(2) WAITING FOR HURRICANE SEASON

I think we lost a profound thing when we stopped celebrating Beltane. Small groups of Pagans still celebrate, but for the most part, here in the US it’s lost. Most people wouldn’t know what you were talking about if you said Beltane. And with it we lost all the magic and the meaning of Life. So, people are never renewed, and it shows.😔❤️🐝
