  • I'm finally repotting my very tall Euphorbia tescorum. I've been watching it grow and wave in the wind for long enough now. It was easier than I thought lol! Should have done it sooner but here we are!

My euphorbia trigona stopped growing from its leaders 😭 It's about 34", but its arms have started to grow and I am baffled.
My only thought is maybe like... spider mites at the growth points?

Are you seeing any webbing that could be spider mites? How big is the pot it's in?
I've had plants start to confirm to the container and not grow as large as they can in something roomier or in nature. Also, maybe it's just diverting energy into the branches because that's what it thinks it should be doing instead.

@@SucsForYou I actually bumped it up to a bigger pot and gave it a higher mix of organic soil to give him a lil boost. I might try dusting the tips with diatomaceous earth just in case.
We shall see if he wakes up. It love for him to get to the 4/5 foot range before he stops growing.

My trigona is quite tall but this year really focused on branch growth. I suspect it’s reached its height to pot size limit as Andrea noted. And that’s about the limit I’m willing to wrangle that thing anyway! No more uppotting here! I’d be interested to hear how your plant goes after a treatment and more time.
