Their wingless Wednesday shows are great and have tons of great racing. Shellhammer Dirt Track puts on great shows whether it is on a Wednesday or Saturday!
This track would be a blast to race real mini sprints the ones with 2 stroke or 4 stroke 300-500cc motors with full suspension not the go kart type ones but the real mini sprints that are exactly like a real sprint car but just half the size they fly on asphalt I raced Emm on a big high bank almost half mile asphalt track with wing on and we was doing 110 off in corners never lifted maybe faster. Never mind found vide of the micro sprints I was talking about and they look like a blast. This track looks like a fun track to drive all around period from a drivers asspect
yeah, all the cars that race at shellhammer dirt track on Wednesday night are full suspension cars, not go karts unless it is a touring series, the PA Wings outlaw karts come once or twice a year on a Wednesday. They race 600 micros, 270 micros, 125 micros, Allstar and junior slingshots and stage one modifieds. They run go karts on a Saturday there.
They run same motors as a bandolaro like a Briggs and Stratton based motor at the ones that race at my local tracks I race at. Those trees need to go I'm sorry but that is a huge Hazzard I know these cars are not very fast but dangerous
they have a briggs and stratton v-twin 599cc motor. At this track the junior slingshots here do an average speed of about 43 mph on the small 1/8 mile track. These cars run about a 10.5 second lap time here.
I always tighten his shoulder straps after we put the helmet on because he has a head and neck restraint and so if the seat belts are too tight you can't buckle the helmet to the restraint! No worries- he didn't go out on the track with loose shoulder belts!!!
I ran 2 cycle Yamahas back in the 1980s at Shelly’s. Great to see 40 years later this track is still going strong.

I love to see they have a cage for protection, but your talking while he is buckling up distracted him from tightening his shoulder harness.
