I have to admit. I really like smoking, particularly Camels. Cannot stand anything Marlboro. I didn't start at early age, and almost didn't smoke in college. Smoked maybe 1 cigarette per week.
Then I had to get into serious fighting with my dad who picked up smoking after 20 years and smoked pack per day despite his asthma.
About lung cancer: I didn't have lung cancer or anything cigarettes related. But I had the "young adult cancer" called Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Took me 5 years to survive it after chemotherapy, radiation, and finally a bone marrow transplant.
Please do not take the warning about the risk of lung (and other smoking related) cancers. If you get that illness, God forbid, you will wish you used more willpower and quit smoking so that at least you wouldn't be blaming yourself later.
Another thing is, if you do smoke, don't hide it from people or go into an alley to smoke. Smoke it like you mean it for all to see. Because no matter how harmful and evil smoking is, you have a right to do it. And screw the fascists who want to ban smoking from everywhere.

I was the young "big smoker" firing up my first one at 11. My best friend asked me for one and he got hooked whewn we were 12, I gave my younger brother a ride to school when I first started driving. I lit up as usual, my pack of Camels on the dashboard. He reached for one and smoked it like a pro in a hurry, same age I picked it up and we didn't say a word but it was awkward. Later that day he begged me in to buying him a pack or Newports. (an odd menthol brat but that's what he wanted). It was like watching myself get addicted all over again as we puffed away every morning on the way to school, going around the block a couple times to get one more in.

such a sad story. addiction will get yah. gotta choose what you want to get into in your life. decide whether it's worth it, cigarettes have a huge price tag. same with anything; choose truth it becomes harder to lie, choose lies it comes harder to tell the truth.

I'm 15 and I started and I'm regretting it, it's all I think about when I'm in school. All I can think about is getting out of their and smoking , I really want to stop

      I'm 16, been smoking since a little bit before I was 15 1/2 though I wouldn't say I was a smoker and I wasn't addicted until after 16.
My advice is to just, stop. Force yourself to stop if you want to stop. At our age you have to go out of your way (unless your parents let you smoke or something) to get cigarettes so it's not like you can just walk into a gas station or tobacco store just anywhere and get a pack. So just, quit.

      Did you manage to quit?

I like how open you are, I smoked a cigarette last week and I smoked it like a normal smoker would.. Now though I am not craving a cigarette. I think that people can be casual smokers and not get addicted you just have to moderate it.

That was an interesting story. I see that it was filmed ten years ago. I wonder if she is still smoking now. I could totally relate to everything she was saying about the first cigarette in the morning, and how good it feels. And even if you have to go outside in the freeing cold it is still so good.

If this gets even one person smoking, well done. People need to experience tobacco.

You are right about non smokers & women who smoke can look pleasant but I wonder if you would be saying that after seeing the insides of a smokers body Male or female it makes no difference the damage is done from the inhaled chemicals in cigarettes at the last count over 200 different chemicals invade the smokers body & cancer waits for no one including its biggest customer.. The beautiful smoker !
I just thought you might like know these facts so you can defend smokers a pleasant ?

Like most videographers do, foolishly you edited out the essence of smoking, the exhale. Rent Hitchcock's "The Birds" to find out how to do it right. The schoolyard scene with Tippi Hedren. As it is, your film is only half as impressive as it could have been. Back to school for you.
