Suggestion: to make your car as fast as possible don’t worry about the engine or anything else but instead focus on reducing your drag, like instead of a boxier shape maybe have a tear drop shape, having a boxier shape increases drag even with a aerodynamic nose cone for example Hypercars at Le Mans, Bugatti, or some F1 cars most
Of them follow a tear/rain drop pattern. And MOST IMPORTANTLY work on making a diffuser for your car since without one it’s similar to driving with a parachute strapped to the back of your car but these are just suggestions from what I think would decrease drag
@@strudel9250 Good idea
New schedule ?
@@strudel9250 everyone like his comment
Let’s do it again!
ProjectAir and Kevin Talbot competing to get the fastest RC car without knowing it
Rivalry of the century
Kevin commented the last video, therefore he is very aware... but kevin's will be electric... so I hope they go on an event together due to them not competing in the same class.
Bleah this project is fail.
The best is raz shiffrin 330km/h
Yah
They know.
James, that car looks capable of going way faster than the actual RC jet car record. I see you aiming for the absolute RC Car speed record in no time!
You win this speed round James 👏, brilliant well done 👍
Subscribe!
Yeah but James doesn't need balls big enough to sit on his contraption!
Hello 👋
Congrats on the project!
suggestion: add FPV camera to the car in addition to track markings. This will facilitate control at high speeds and long distances, thus giving greater precision to piloting.
"the sand got everywhere." Huh, wonder how many UA-camrs try their vehicles on the sand and end up saying that.
Might want to consider a parachute for this. Stopping from 60mph with rubber tires is one thing, stopping from 200mph with whatever new wheels you come up with is going to be a challenge without a parachute I think.
They had to spin up the solid rim Bluebird wheels on a static jig to see if they'd hold together at high speed. Switching to solid tyres will stop the ballooning, but don't underestimate the damage an unbalanced wheel or failed bearing can do at high RPM. I'm sure you'll test your custom wheels, but maybe include an oversized wheel in the jig to simulate the contact point and as the drive output, so you can simulate downforce to check the bearings can hold up and the balance stays true. Really exciting to see it coming together - very professional effort!
Mate, what a fantastic machine! She looks right and goes right, too. And she makes an incredible noise as well (when passing). I can’t wait to watch the next instalment of this incredible jet car you have built. Stuff like this makes me grin like the proverbial Cheshire Cat. Good luck.👊🏻😎
viewer from America and it hits different watching one of ProjectAir's videos at 5:30 in the morning lol
Ha, same here.
Awesome first runs, look forward to the full runs 🎉
you never
fail to fascinate us with your ideas appreciate it
I heard his next build is a submersible that he will use to visit the Titanic. If anyone can do it, he can!
Update: I made the above comment before it was discovered that all were lost. Like many, I originally hoped that they would be rescued.
I do believe that if given the resources, James could build a submersible that would make the dive. It's his dedication to perfection that would ensure his success. This tragedy is a stark reminder of what will happen when shortcuts are taken and projects are rushed. When the stakes are so high, there is no substitution for perfection.
My condolences to the families who lost so much.
I love your projects so much
Please keep sharing them with us
They are really enjoyable
Thank you so much
I have been eagerly waiting for part two! Absolutely LOVE IT! keep it up!
Absolutely sterling work! Can't wait to see the official speed run!!
Heck yeah! it's running so much better now. You have it dialed. I look forward to seeing you break the RC Jet Car speed record! Good luck, bro!
Thank you and DIY perks for coming in my model shop hope your N gauge track worked for what you was going to do with it. Was really cool talking to you both for quite a while aswell hope you get the record
This is awesome! You'll smash the record for sure. Looking forward to seeing more 👍
So cool! I've been waiting on your progress since the last video. Thanks for building such cool stuff for us to view.
Awesome ! Spectacular crashes do the trick for sure, but it's good to see when things go neat too :D That RC jet car looks absolutely brilliant !
never clicked as quick 🎉
Ikr
Amazingly put together! 🎉
Your car sounds amazing! The sound of the jet spooling up is awesome.
absolutely incredible, i really love these videos, keep em coming.
Thanks for this project. Quite awesome
This is amazing, really excited to see the next run. Best of luck in smashing the speed record for jet RC car.
Glad this is going so well. Very exiting project.
Lovely video - thanks for making!
This is a great series! Looks like you have a really good car - best of luck with the record!
holy cow, what a car! Never would i could be so exited for the next video to this series.
Thank you for your videos!!!
I'm very excited about this project please continue
Great job! Always a lot of fun. Best of luck going forward.
That is one beautiful piece of work. Finally, an LSR car that looks like it should.
I'm glad your doing this stuff. This home grown achieving is what makes planet earth great. Go you! Bro...
Brilliant work, James! Really well done! 😃
Looking forward to see more!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I eagerly await seeing this thing in the next record run! :D I also eagerly await whatever hybrid monstrosity you and Kevin can come up with via a super-electric-motor jet car.
Been waiting for this one for days! Keep it up bro!
always a good watch love youre content keep up the epic work
Excellent effort love the car so well engendered can't wait to see it in a runway!
That thing looks awesome!
Looks really well built well done mate
1:37 here I was thinking a solid metal wheel and boom you put one up, I’m loving these vids
i simply love this car! good luck
You’ve probably already done the second run but you might want to reconsider your camera and radio gear mounts and try to make them more aerodynamic or put them somewhere out of direct air flow, I’ve done some “sketchy shit” with flying wings trying to get them to exceed 200 and we found the slightest little lump anywhere on the surface, like a camera, can upset it or create oscillations or just make it too unstable at really high speeds, even something as small as a Runcam Splt 3 with the camera on the wing tip and the circuit board embedded in the wing was enough to cause the wing to turn sharp left on launch and required me to hold in a lot of right stick to keep it straight at high speed, when we took the camera off, we found another 30mph.
Not gonna lie I was looking forward to this video, is such a great thing to see a planned out project work as intended. Great Job! Good luck with the speed record!
I love your Jimny. They look so cool, i wish they were available in the USA.
Definitely need a longer runway. I also want more of that Dalek in the background lol.
ive been waiting for this video to come out. your videos are so well made.
DUCK
That's more or less how i envisioned it.. let's see you hit 200+ mph safely with it
Give it horns!!
Respect from South Africa 🇿🇦
I was so excited for this vid to come out
Really cool. Can't wait to see what she's capable of!
What a lovely project. It looks great too.
dude, u have the record in the bag. its just a matter of time. cant wait for the record run! good luck!
It's great to see a speed run video in which the car survives.
It sounds mental James, an absolute beast
Good to see you back on the road
wow man i really like ur videos you just living peak of my hobbies 😍🤩🤩
I love this guy’s enthusiasm
Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh…. what a beast 👌
Can’t wait to see this thing rip in a couple weeks! 👌
Gary needs one of those engines to get away from bullies :)
AMAZING, good job
Awesome car ,good luck
You should add bucket reverse thrust (like an md80) and afterburner
A lot of weight tho
What a nice project, can't wait to see it break that record!
Nice Video
So cool seeing a concept prove itself out, looking forward to the first 100mph run!
I just love the jetcar vids
That was totally ace mate.
Nice work, cant wait to see you open up the throttle :)
That is so cool. I want to build one now.
NICE BRO KEEP IT UP
now that looks like a proper land speed record attempt vehicle. can't wait to watch the run where you are really going for the record.
Impressive vehicle! 🙌🏻
that thing looked so planted and solid, so cool to see it all come together so well. no doubt this thing has record breaking potential, bring the speed record to the jet car class where it belongs
This thing is sick
Awesome video! Thanks for the entertainment!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great work 👏 👍
Lets get in the Record 📚
This one's looking like a good build. Hoping the wheels, the track, and the weather works out for it.
Awesome build my brother, looking alot more stable then the first one you builded. But can't wait to see it run at max power. Good luck bro she will give you a good number 😁❤👍🏿
I fly turbine jets. we have a short 460ft runway. Using a swiwin 80 lock the breaks until full spool or almost full rpm of the turbine and then release for take off. This will most likely help you with your launch and getting up to speed.
Hi thanks man this is awesome.
great content for sure
Excited for the record.
The look of the car, the sound, Gerry Anderson approves.
Looks great by the way..
Love the fact it now looks a lot like Thrust II 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice one. I hope you break the record. I'll see you at the ROSSA event
Excellent video thank you.
You seem to have nearly as many roundabouts as we do in the uk!
I love your video man.
Magnificent job nice car. you know that is good because you dont see the actual speed whene you run it.
Nice job!
Dont feel the speed*
It looks like the thruster ssc great job man!
It will be interesting to see how your and Kevin's car fare up against each other. Maybe you could do a 1 on 1 drag race when they're finished? That would be really cool!
Great work so far! Tons of potential. Because your tires aren’t burdened with tractive forces, I would expect you to have far fewer issues. Foams should have more top speed headroom before coming apart on a thrust propelled vehicle. Maybe😊
I agree. He isn't putting extreme power to the wheels like a 8s lipo powered brushless motor
A miniature trust SSC excellent video
Looks like a rocket
Great job
what a cool video
This is cool and best of luck when you go for it!
One small suggestion. Use a headset with the walkie talkie so if you need to radio someone asap, that should be quicker :-)
Lovely to meet you on holiday, sorry we didn't get to say goodbye at the end. T & L.
