Edo State Reviews Minimum Wage, To Pay N70,000 From May 1st

Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki has announced an upward review of the minimum wage of Edo worker from forty thousand to seventy thousand naira.
He made this announcement during the inauguration of the newly built Labour house in Benin City.
He assures the new salary regime will take effect from the first of May.
Mr Obaseki says the gesture is to appreciate the cordial relationship between government and the labour unions in the state.
This is the second time the governor will be reviewing the salaries of workers in the state before the federal government.
