If you feel like your vlogs are mundane, I think that’s what I love. As a working mom, I get that Groundhog Day feeling a lot too and get in my own head about whether I’m doing it all wrong. Your content is a comforting reminder that this is normal life and sometimes surviving and trying to remain positive is winning BIG. ❤❤ God meets us in those small, mundane moments and these silly tiny humans are big ole reminders of His grace and mercy. I think your channel communicates that so well!

I love your videos. They are calming for me to watch. I enjoy that you try to be realistic and honest. It isn't just "here is a perfect day in my life." As a stay at home mom as well, I find it reassuring to watch you also try and fit tasks into your day. You also do it all with so much patience and joy! I'm praying for you and your family today.
We have indoor play spaces for kiddos. They can be a bit expensive but are so good for the hot summer days! Maybe there is a space near you like that?

Some ideas of things to do on hot summer days, like so many have said, the library, but also indoor playground, mall walking, weekly playgroup, toddler music class (like kindermusik), splash park, wading pool. Sometimes I will just do something simple like take my son through a drive through for an ice cream and go through the car wash 😂. Oh also, if you happen to live near a bass pro my son likes to go look at the fish and sit in the boats lol

Events at our library have been wonderful this summer! Get out of the heat, they’re free, and then you get to shop for some books too! Also, you could very easily retile your backsplash! So much better looking than peel and stick, and it could really brighten up the kitchen!

I really like the balance! I like that you protect your kids but still talk about the struggles of motherhood. I personally think it’s okay to talk about Hallie’s sleep for example, but you aren’t blaming her or putting her down - it’s a universal struggle.
Maybe some content about what you guys eat?
But overall, I think you do a great job!

Something I've been seeing a lot online lately is people breaking things down very small, like "a week of mornings", "meal plan with me", "what's for dinner?" or "declutter the closets with me" or something like that. Something super specific rather than a full day vlog. Maybe you could give something like that a shot? Just to mix things up for yourself and feel more creative. Something I'd be super interested to see from you is a video about all the different toddler activities you do with Jordan. My son just turned 3 and he's so energetic and is just bored with the activities we have.

You offer a realistic and honest view of motherhood and that's why I love your channel. Of course, I loved your teaching content, but now you are in a new place in your life, so I love watching day/week in the life, motherhood, all the things, etc. I'm just like you...hate clutter...throw it all away and then need it back (sometimes) lol.

Your videos are so incredibly calming to me. I have a son the same age as your youngest and it is so nice hearing the challenges you face because it makes me not feel so alone. If you are looking for more ideas on what to share/talk about, I would love anything home related. For example, a video of you sharing your favorite meals, favorite cleaning products, sharing baby items that you love, etc. I enjoy all the mundane things.

I’ve been watching for years now and I loved the transition from teaching videos to faith/family content. I keep my son pretty private online too and I bet that that is difficult for you to balance with a family channel.
I look forward to your videos each week. As someone with very few mom friends, it feels great to be able to relate through your content. You show very real parts of life and that can be so reassuring amidst all the *aesthetic* content online that can feel out of touch and unattainable. I love how everything points back to faith and I can tell you live your life truly from a biblical perspective. You are doing amazing working sharing online and making a big difference for many moms and christians out there, including me!

I watch you because you have the same values I want to have in my household and you motivate me to become the woman I’m pushing myself to become through your Godliness. We’ve done so many mini kitchen updates, as well as a full gut reno. Just a couple weeks ago actually I repainted our kitchen cabinets and it’s amazing what a can of paint can do! Degloss the surface, get a high quality paint, and you’ll love your kitchen. Even if the paint needs to be touched up in 5-7 years it’s such a great way to save $10k or more in all new cabinets. Backsplash you can remove and replace with new tile, even if you pay someone it’s not terribly expensive and again makes a massive difference. We have a wood paneled backsplash I did myself (similar to beadboard but wider) and it was around $50. I’m a firm believer that the woman of the house should love her kitchen! ❤

I love that you’re honest. It’s a busy phase of life where your time is spent on your little ones which means limited moments of your own time for projects like sorting books 😅 but it’s real. And for all mothers everywhere we can relate to this!
Library might be a fun escape once a week. If possible it can be helpful to trade a few hours of childcare with a friend even if it’s just for your older daughter.

Hi Emma! I’m late on watching your video but honestly it’s what I enjoy at the end of the week especially as I work all week and barely get enough time for myself. Honestly I look forward to your videos because I’m also a mom of a toddler and sometimes I don’t if I’m doing a good job. And watching your videos I’m like it’s totally fine to feel overwhelmed sometimes but still do your darn best to be a good mother. And secondly, your videos inspire me. They motivate me to be a better person and a better believer in God. I was completely lost for a long time and watching how you speak about reading his word and your faith, it brings me peace. So now I started getting back on the path to righteousness. Thank you for your videos. 🤍

I enjoy your videos so much! They've really become a part of my Sunday reset and unwinding in the afternoon. I love how you show everyday life and inspire us to try to romanticize it and just enjoy the simple things. Here are some things I would be interested in seeing in future videos (if possible, if you're excited and comfortable to film them): a deep dive into your monthly rotation of meals and cooking vlog, go thrifting with you, how you get ready to host friends and family, love a good organizing/cleaning and reset video, ... And then of course the good old 'spend a couple of days with me'. Maybe you were just venting about feeling like you're in a filming rut and you don't really need inspo on what to film... Either way, I hope you figure out for yourself what you want to film and bring to the internet.
Have a great Sunday and start to the new week!

Hi Emma, I just want to say your authenticity is so encouraging. I love watching your vlogs because they are so in touch with reality. Social media creates this pressure to think you have to have the perfectly aesthetic kitchen and home or that if your every day life isn’t always thrilling, you’re doing something wrong. I find such peace watching your vlogs because you remind me it’s okay to have mundane routines and for everything you own to not be the most modern or flashy. Thank you for the reminder that the Lord has already provided us with everything we need. Also, I adore your kitchen! So cozy!

Summers are a struggle! We find ourselves inside a lot too, you're not alone. Some ideas: Library visits, indoor playgrounds, indoor play dates, splash pads, anything with water really! The other day we washed the car and made it an event 😂 And I totally have that groundhog day feeling too, but it's nice to see another mom experience it and to know we are all in the same boat.

We are redoing our kitchen right now and it is kind of pricey because we got new countertops because the people before us did a DIY paint kit on top and it was all peeling off. We also painted our cabinets because the paint was chipping off.

Hi! I started watching your vlog bc you were a first grade teacher and have continued watching during your next chapter. I agree with so many other commenters that we like to watch you bc you are who you are. I am not a mom nor will I more than likely be one unless God has other plans but I watch your channel because I connect with the person you share with us of who you are. Friendships , relationships are not all about being entertaining it is showing up and being present. I like to put on your podcast and just unwind… lol there is enough drama or high excitement activities going on all around us and to me listening to another individual living out the life that God gifted them… needless to say, just keep posting you each week and remind yourself that Jesus did not send out the disciples one by one to spread His love but in pairs bc we need each other to get back on track when are mind likes to tell us that what chapter we are currently in is not worthy or for a purpose for His glory…. You have no idea whom the Spirit can connect you too as that other part of being someone’s pair. When influencers post about topics without sharing their own personal testimony it is much harder to make the same connection to what they are sharing than someone that lives what they share. You have a gift as an influencer…. Don’t let anyone or anything make you second guess yourself other than God and trust that you are where God wants you to be… lol and so much easier to preach this than practice this myself. Lastly I love your romper!!

I’ve been in the midst of a DIY kitchen remodel for years now (I bought a fixer upper). My cabinets and high end appliances were bought on Facebook marketplace for around $4000. If I were you, I would start with updating your backsplash. I think that would really brighten up the space. If the cabinets are feeling really dark, try adding decorative pops of colors around the kitchen to help brighten things up. Likewise, sometimes removing upper cabinets for open shelving can help make the room feel lighter. Start with the small things before replacing the cabinets!

I love your vlogs so much because I am in the exact same season and I’m telling you I feel all the same feelings you do. The groundhog days, sleep deprivation, joy and sorrow all in one hour 😅 I think you do a great job protecting your sweet girls too. Watching/listening to these while I do some cleaning after church reminds me of when moms used to listen to radio shows like focus on the family in the 90’s. So cozy and relaxing 💕

When the days are getting monotonous, try inviting a friend with kids over or vice versa. We have rotating playdates with a few friends at each other's houses and they give me SO much life. We get a change of scenery, the kids get to play with their friends, and we get to talk in semi-complete sentences without all the hassle of going to a big *activity* like the zoo!

One thing we have done a lot is do the park right after breakfast. We will be at the park at 8:00 and stay for a couple of hours before it gets too hot and then the kids are worn out and usually a little easier the rest of the day.
We had to do a full kitchen remodel when we moved in 2019-2020. It was definitely expensive but there were tile counter tops and basically no cabinets(we over doubled the number) so it was necessary. We actually were able to get custom cabinets that fit our odd shaped kitchen for very little more than if we had done them ourselves and they fit better. So definitely get a quote on custom cabinets to see. We did our flooring and backsplash ourselves to save money but also had experience with both.

We remodeled our kitchen. My husband is a contractor though so I don’t feel like I can accurately say price.. I will say that if you fully remodel one of the most important things we did was make sure I could always cook (we built a rolling cart for the stove so we could take it in and out 😂) and since remodeling is seriously such a mess we had the kitchen closed off from the house the whole time with plywood doors we made but could easily go in and out. It is hard to have your kitchen not in full working order, I would consider a facelift more than a full remodel especially if you would have to hire someone and pay for materials for a remodel it would get so expensive so fast!

Girl I LOVE your videos but I gotta say you are way to critical/negative about your self. I feel like it showed through in this video a lot. You are always saying something negative about your hair or your house or your clothes etc. It hurts my heart. You are beautifully and wonderfully made by God. It hurts to hear a fellow sister tearing herself apart so heavily. Praying the enemies lies away from your heart and your mind. 🙏🏻❤
