Sometimes I wish they had better technology for more accurate body tracking and smooth movements, but if we had that, we wouldn't have the glorious jankiness that is so damn hilarious.

They were using Mocopi, Sony's recently released mocap tech. Hololive is an official sponsor for it so the talents are supposed to use it for some of the streams. If the goal was to advertise functional mocap tech, then they definitely didn't accomplish that.

From what...I believe Oga mentioned about mocopi, it was supposed to use some actual markers that could be set up for use with fewer equipment than studio 3d tracking, but probably not all of them are actually using it like that, with how little tracking (if at all) some of them showed.

Words can’t describe how funny that stream is. Can’t describe every funny bits so I’ll just describe one. Even after koyori was paralysed and left discord she was still there the whole time, reacting to what’s happening in that stream. There was a moment pekora walk right over koyori and stopped on her and it literally looks like koyori is peeking under pekora’s skirt. Koyori then immediately pull off a blush face LOL it was funny as hell. She was also reacting to Kanata drill floating over her and was winking towards the camera when they sign off
