I love hearing these Spurgeon sermons.
A few years ago, someone I thought was my friend betrayed me and started doing things to try and ruin my life. As a result, I distanced myself from them and finally just cut off contact with them. Since then, they have continued to do so much to try and harm me. They have tried to affect literally every area of my life. Please pray that this person (and anyone that has helped them) would be permanently removed from my life and that they would no longer be able to harm me or affect my life in any way. Please also pray for my mental and physical recovery from this situation because it has taken a toll on me. Thank you.
On it...thanks for the opportunity

Thank God for the invalid still with us. I agree it was funny
Losing children, husband and sister through slander - still unproven over TEN years - I have oft times prayed for strangling and death. When courage, strength and even hope flee away, JESUS steadfastly refuses to be moved. You WILL come through because HE is in control and neither you, nor your adversaries have any say in the outcome. Abide, Abide and Abide in Him for daily renewal and "see the deliverance the Lord has for you." The WORD tells us " if someone asks you to forgive them even 10 times in one day, then 10 times you must forgive them." Nowhere are we told to forgive those who continue to enjoy abusing us! We are exhorted to cry out to God - His faithful promise... "I will contend with those who contend with you." You will forgive them ONLY if and when God makes them repentant. Universal forgiveness of the wicked is as heretical as universal salvation. Methinks you must stand alone and seek only Christ - not the opinions of intermediaries, including me. With Love❤️
Unlike Spurgeon, who apparently recognized the 'Hand of God' early in life, many may today be more likely to not have this awareness. And while Spurgeon recognized this to be so, he was not aware of some of the 'plagues' which would be visited upon mankind in future generations which would contribute to man's lack of discernment.
I don't know what Spurgeon understood of revelation, but after listening to a narration of some of John Wesley's work, it seems that the 'Hand of God' was provoking Wesley's understanding of revelation.
Wesley proposed that the 'four horsemen' of the book of "The Revelation" have been riding throughout the history of the ' latter days'. 'Latter days' to Wesley may be the entire time from 'the ascension' until the 'second advent'.
Would the Pharaoh of ancient Egypt look upon a pervasive use of 'debilitating' substances as a 'plague'? More recently, did the Emperor of 19th century China look upon the pervasive use of opium as a 'plague'?
Is the 'Hand of God' silent regarding this?!!!!!!!
What of the constant, or possibly more appropriately called incessant, 'intrusive' information delivered via radio, television, internet and junk mail. What impact does this have as regards discernment? Consider Ephesians 2:2 " Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedient." KJV
Could the incessant intrusion of what today is considered entertaining and or informative be considered a 'plague'?!?!?!
💔
Amen 🙏
