Mc Dawn hi and sorry about the late reply I didn’t get this comment under my list of comments not sure why, but basically I switch on the fog lights. When you switch them off there is a side/parking light in there.
You say there are two bulbs, one for side light and one for the fog light. But one must be for the reverse light, so does that mean the dog light and side light are the same bulb?
BeemerE90 I got the tool from snap on tools online as a set, but am sure there are other version on amazon or eBay, here in the UK there is Halfords or Lloyds motor spares, etc.

From what I remember yes that is the case one bulb has two functions.
Where did u get the 'tool' to remove those lock pins? Its quite hard to remove with your fingers!

BeemerE90 yes definitely not a regular electrical shop but again wildly available online or a shop for autoparts motor accessories etc.

I finally fixed the tail light that was working intermittently. It was a loose contact after all. Didnt have to change anything

I think you can buy bulbs that’s have leds instead but you have to see if they fit. I never really tried.

Yes some models are led and they tend to fail I had to replace a few but the whole tail light needs replacing.
