That's because you have never driven a big truck, but I'll attempt to explain it to you. First of all, the driver MUST back in to make the delivery because the parking lot is too small. He can't manouever. The best option is to back into the lot from the road. The driver is going to the opposite side of the road where his delivery will take place. To make the backing as efficient and quick as possible the driver will drive down the side of the road and at the correct time will turn his truck towards the center of the road. This will position the rear of the trailer to make the fastest entry into the lot as possible and thus getting out of everyone's way. There is nothing sketchy or clunky about it.

2.2 Watch that P.T.O. handle guys! For those that don't know, a truck with a bed or a trailer operated by a hydraulic ram has what is known as a P.T.O. (Power Take Off). Tow trucks, dump trucks, dump trailers, etc, they all operate on the same hydraulic principle; the PTO. Inside the cab, there's a little lever that engages and disengages the PTO, and it's basically a little gearbox on the side of the transmission and is operated by pushing in the clutch, engaging the PTO, and then engaging the clutch. The problem is, if the handle isn't fully locked into the 'down' position, it can build a small amount of residual pressure in the system. If the trailer is full, is no big deal, but when empty, that small amount of pressure can engage the ram and lead to big problems.
tl;dr = Every time you see a truck run into an overpass like this, that's what happens.

Your hazards and a hand out the window does absolutely nothing except demonstrate you KNEW you were performing an unlawful and negligent series of traffic maneuvers.
Absolutely no vehicle has the right to do what you're doing. Its unlawful, obstructing, and negligently reckless.

The traffic on the expressway on the right were very very lucky that the wheel incident at 8:09 happened during construction. There's normally only a short guardrail there. If this had happened without the construction then that tire could've jumped the guardrail and ended up in oncoming traffic. There's an expressway lake there, but that's beyond this point. Granted the chance is remote but given how far semi tires can bounce, even on grass, it might have headed right into oncoming traffic, creating a possible deadly mess. A tire bouncing downhill like that could create a giant mess.
This is southbound I-294, Tri-state, which goes from Wisconsin to Indiana arcing through the northern, western and southern suburbs. The expressway on the right is I-290, Stephenson, which goes under the old Post Office, downtown, and heads to the NW Subs. Here I-294, which we're on, is a bit higher than I-290. Street view even shows such a truck in the drive around the building. If they want semi truck front access then they need to eliminate some parking spots to allow it all the time.
