Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 вер 2015
- A Trivia/Quiz game featuring Pac-Man as Professor. This game has several different fruit sub levels totaling 98 questions. After 99 questions, the game is automatically restarted back to question 1 again over and over again.
Note: No cheats were used. Had to use save states for this since this was a trivia/quiz game. - Ігри
This is precisely the sort of bartop game that would get its screen punched in by an angry drunk who wasn't in the mood to feel stupid.
You really have to sit back, take a good look, and ask yourself, "Who the _hell_ at Midway thought this was a good idea?"
Then you think, “Why, Namco (The creator of Pac-Man)? WHY?”
The only thing that's significant about this game was Professor Pac appearing in 'Pac-Man World'.
@@glengibbons1224 This game actually caused Midway's license to be terminated.
@@CopyTheCompcom Not really, Namco never had any problems with Midway, it was Atari Inc. being split in half and Namco having a stake in Atari Games (Atari Inc.'s former arcade division) that caused that
It was an answer to parents complaining about arcade games supposedly making kids stupid and not having educational value
No wonder I've never seen or heard of this game. I can't imagine anyone pumping more than a couple of quarters into this...
My local chuck e cheese had one, and so did an arcade at a Vegas casino. Amazed I saw two of these in the wild.
This game is absolutely manic, brain overload lol
This is like the IQ test from HELL! I can't even imagine anyone passing this on their first try!
Unless of u can slow down time or even pause it
When it comes to hand questions, it always sounds like the old Batman theme.
yep
nananananananana nananananananana NANANANANANANANA *NANANANANANANANA* BATMAN!
This game is hard and it’s a education school pac man game
This is one of the very few games of the "Pac Man" series that will lead to the license demonization of Namco and Midway. So far it is unknown who owns the Bally Midway Pac-Man games (except a couple of them like Mrs. Pac Man or Pac Man Plus.) as of now.
Who owns Ms Pac Man and Pac Man plus?
@@relaxo260 // Excuse the lateness, but both of these games are currently owned by Bandai-Namco. I think they also have the rights to Jr. Pac-Man as well.
@@asaelpolanco8151
Mendel Palace (referred to as Quinty in Japan) was released as a Japanese Famicom game which Namco/Game Freak published in Tokyo but was literally translated in the United States after Hudson Soft (a division of Konami) snatched the intellectual property from them
@@brandonreina791 // Also, that game was Game Freak's very first game ever made.
@@asaelpolanco8151 Actually, no. GCS, original developers of Ms. Pac Man, sold their part of the rights to Ms. Pac Man to AtGames.
Imagine the kid on the block who only owned this one game.
i'd still be fuckin jealous, because this is an entire arcade machine
@@jans452 Yes, that’s true, not to mention how rare it is.
@@NES96 So THAT’S why Pac-land is so rare.
@@NES96 I meant Pac-land. PPM is even rarer but Pac-land was also brought to arcades in a very limited quantity.
I can see why Namco terminated their license agreement with Midway...
It wasn’t just because of this game, but rather because Midway had done that at least four times by that point. Ms. Pac-Man, Baby Pac-Man and Jr. Pac-Man were the other unlicensed titles Midway made in the years before this one, and some say that Pac-Man Plus is also unlicensed, although that one has started appearing on compilations since. Curiously, Namco did let Midway release Pac-Land the year after this came out before terminating the license and going to Atari Games.
This is like an earlier version of Wario Ware.
And Kahoot!
Looks more like a computer game than an arcade one.
It sounds like it too.
Oh trust me, it definitely sounds and looks more like an arcade game!😄😏😎
Looks and sounds like a spectrum game.
@@andromedaone3640 Nah the music and sound effects of Astrocade games and Astrocade arcade games sound way to advanced to sound like ZX Spectrum games. The ZX Spectum’s PC Speaker and AY sound chips can’t even do squat the more advanced, arcady sounding, music and sound effects that the Astrocade’s sound chip can do! And it looks nothing like a Spectrum game either!
True.
this is kinda freaking me out
Ear bleeding beeper sounds?
yes honestly the noises in this game can hurt your ears when wearing headphones
It gives off a Baldi's Basics kind of vibe.
My volume was muted for this video
Professor Pac-Man, eh?
More like Professor Troll-Man's Impossible Quiz Shenanigans, if you ask me. XD
Professor Acid Trip. LOL
Professor LSD simulator
I still cannot believe this game exists.
Impressive game. Repetitive, but impressive.
This is probably the fakest looking arcade game that's actually real. In media, retro games have way too much animation that isn't related to the gameplay, which isn't realistic because games needed to utilize as much memory as possible for gameplay. A good example of this would be Fix It Felix Jr, with too much unnecessary animation that interrupts gameplay. This game however, appears like how media portrays retro games, which is honestly impressive.

OHHHHHHH THAT'S WHERE THIS GUY FROM THE PACMAN WORLD TRILOGY CAME FROM!
Yes and Ms.Pac-Man Maze Madness, he is also and.Pac-Man’s father and Pac’s in-law and actually trained Pac-Man when he was a younger man and has a wife too.
What?
@@Nic_2751 There’s a professor ms Pac-Man?
@@NES-ml3by it’s heavily implied on the original Pac ‘N Roll website that he’s a youthful Professor Pac as it states he later retired and became a professor, it would also explain the actual closeness of his relationship to Pac-Man and why he’s so prevalent
According to Wiki they only made 400 of these cabinets and 300 got sent back to become Pac-Land
Watched this when I was younger, thank you for playing this. And some of these quesrions are easy for me.
Glad your brain is growing!

*Why is the game -over screen- so terrifying

@@robotwrench lol the whole game is creepy, like imagine to find this on attract mode at night and when you insert a credit it's at max. volume 💀💀
this game is honestly terrifying, jesus fuck
Professor Pac-Man observes your every move.... studying you. If you get the question wrong... good luck.
@@NES96 Also the black background with some red/yellow text, werid artstyle, werid sfx that have a melody only a few times (while the others it's just a sound), then a simple animation after/before the question and the game returns to freeze in silence.
And the "right answer" screen.
Seriously, what is it even supposed to be?
When you get the answer the screen flashes as if the game field has been strucked with a thunder for half a sec, then it returns with the black void area.
As said, the art is kinda werid and huge and Pac-Man's chomping noise is so nerve inducing.
This game almost seems to be studied in oder to be unsettling so that we could get the question wrong.
I can't even imagine a VR port and, honestly, modern graphics would be less creepy (unless it gets drawn with a horror artstyle)
@@NES96 I knew about the three versions, but wow 400 machines IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.
I had no idea it flopped THIS hard.
I don't know if I'm right, but bad selling games should have like a million copy or so?

get ready to try again!
when i watched this video for the first time and saw the first question the game asked you (i mean how many right turns to the fruit) i thought it means how many time does pac-man need to twist his head right like how he walks in this game
51:27 "try again"
51:28 "incorrect"
54:43 "(dislikes)"
HOLY FUCKING SHIT MY EARS
Pacman's basics in education and learning
supposedly this game (along with pac man jr and baby pac man) wasn't actually licensed by namco
Ms Pac Man was unlicensed as well
Namco and Midway had some bad relationships with each other back then XD
Does that mean this and pacman jr and baby pacman are actually bootlegs?
Trollsome unfortunately yes, which is why they don’t appear often since they’re also owned by Midway
@@XxsuperconsolebrosxX
Not counting the home counterparts which were licensed Nintendo games
32:33 I like the sound effect

I've played most classic Pac-man games, but I've never even heard of this one
53:40 *how many right turns to the fruit?* 0 right turns to the fruit, because thats a *burger*
29:06 The time didn't started and you answered right anyway. You're smart as hell
15:00 this is clearly not a fruit! Thats a Hamburger! What were they thinking?
in the original pac-man there are a few things that are fruit (such as the galaxian, the bell and the key)
What version of MAME did you run this on and what platform and what MAME ROM set version of the ROM?
6:27 this is a *DIE* unfolded.
Plus why didn't they even use capital letters in an educational game lol
26:19 100th question
Study these and remember their placement
Which hands were right hands
A 1, 2, 3 and 4
B all
C none of them
It's D: 1 and 4
11:38 lol
I'm sorry for those with epilepsy
I like the music with the jugglers ones !!! :D
And it's not synchronised. It's "echoing".
What an unusual Pacman game
did they discontinue this game because of the Flashing Lights giving seizures or something?
I also thought so too but the answer is no
Education + Arcade game = Failure
And all Professor Pac-Man Cabinets got converted into Pac-Land Cabinets
No, because it’s boring as fuck!

get ready to stress!
It's crazy that Midway simultaneously put out both some of the best Pac-Man games ever made, (Ms. and Jr.) and also one of the worst ones ever made. I love Ms. and Jr., but it's a real shame that they're dead forever because of stuff like this. Maybe if this game never existed Namco would've actually tried to buy the full rights to the other ones. What a shame. I especially feel bad for Jr. because, outside of when it was new, anything directly related to it has not been ported or re-released on anything even once. Honestly it makes me wonder why they even tried to replace them with Pac-Jr. and Pac-Mom when all they do is remind us that they are the inferior copies, they honestly would've been better off making more original characters. I think a professor being brought back for the World games, even for Re-Pac, is the strangest part of all this.
Anyways, I don't know why but this has the vibes of some sort of fan made creepypasta game project rather than one that was ever released. It's not scary or anything, but it still has that "something is off" factor to it. Maybe it's just because of all the bad sounds and graphics, I'm not sure. What I do know though is that for an "educational" game this looks very difficult. I have no idea how anyone let alone a kid is supposed to learn from this. *Lol*
I'm learnding!

huh, this is one pac-man spin off game that I have never heard of, though I know Midway made a ton of them, much to the annoyance of Namco if I remember correctly.
Pacman jr was the "official" sequel to pacman, and mrs pacman was the only one by midway that namco didn't discard and actually kept

I can see that, given its trivia format. That game couldn't have been something that would've been considered exciting in an arcade. However, in a bar setting where there are regulars and considering the fact that some bars have trivia nights and all, a game like that could've possibly been more welcome in that type of environment.
