- The former Labour leader, Lord Kinnock, has given his bleakest warning yet about the future of the party if Jeremy Corbyn wins the leadership election. He told the BBC's Panorama programme he would not expect to see another Labour government in his lifetime. The results of the contest between Mr Corbyn and Owen Smith. The shadow defence secretary, Clive Lewis, said Lord Kinnock was respected by many in the party -- but it was wrong to say that Jeremy Corbyn had taken Labour to the left.

got a lot of time for this guy... very articulately putting his points across.
Corbyn's not dragging the party to the left, it's just what it should be, an opposition party with good policies.
This comment did not age well.
He's relatively new to this but Clive Lewis will play a significant part in the future of the Labour party, I have no doubt.
Very articulate character, he managed to deliver his points quite smoothly
I like this guy.
He is much better than that guy Owen Smith.
So do I.
***** Hi Dave.
***** Sorry can't help you there Dave.
***** I'm deeply flattered Dave. :)
More people would like his calm assertive manner
Extremely articulate, confident and intelligent interviewee. Outright refused to pander to the usual biased BBC crap. Perhaps I imagined it but even Marr seemed impressed with him. (Marr's overtalk-o-meter reading stayed very low throughout.)
him for leader :)
WOW Clive Lewis is pretty good
young Obama?
Haj Uhnas... Clive is a socialist.. Obama's a centrist by American standards, that's a huge shift to the right. He's nothing like Obama. Mr Lewis has way more integrity.
I think we're talking about different things: eloquence, charm, photogenicity, seeming intelligence, projectable empathy, the right amount of authority and self effacement. And I'm not even his mum!
Perhaps superficially they are alike but ideologically they're worlds apart. I actually think Clive Lewis could be a future leader of the Labour party and he seems to have the interests of ordinary people at heart.
He is very good!
I like the idea of proportional representation
same, but i doubt it's ever going to be implemented
Think big, Canterbronx! Assuming it will never happen is a self-fulfilling prophesy! How about a reform of your second chamber, to a Senate elected by PR?
I reckon Neil Kinnock is senile.
The new face of politics. Refreshing. A born leader. Watch out the 'social, political & economic status quo. JC4PM. The Labour Party is on the march with the good folks.
I think Clive Lewis would make labor more electable than Corbyn or Smith he is articulate and seems to be intelligent.
Clive Lewis is a very intelligent and well spoken young man. He has a bright future ahead of him.
Shadow defense secretary sounds sinister...what is his role in the uk?
Gus 😂😂😂

My area has always been conservative last time I emailed my MP I heard nothing back and I disagree with almost all his policies they are not accountable as its a safe seat
Ok
Why do you people make it like it would be a disaster if labour can't win an election for the foreseeable future under corbyn leadership? Isn't it better to find the soul of the party instead of being "torry light" in government? I really believe that we will fight for what we stand in solidarity with corby and win the hearts and the support of the British public no matter how long it takes us or how many general elections we win 😊
Welcome to the NeoCon BBC!!
Roland Gift is looking well.
Hmmmm I like this guy a lot.
Good guy.. and he looks a bit like Gus Fring From Breaking Bad :-)
