For the past few years Apple has been drifting the normal iPhone away from the pro models, making them weaker, giving them older designs, exclusive software features, and even having different buttons... but this year Apple has finally fixed the normal iPhone and its a better buy than ever before.

Got the 15 Pro in May, and don't regret it at all! It did overheat a lot with the first few months but now it's not so bad, and really enjoying it. Especially the cameras!! Great vid btw

I think the base iPhone models have closed some of the gap. However, Promotion and Always On are not the only important features. The 5x telephoto lens is a BIG deal, as is faster USB C port (10GB) and studio quality microphones. Battery life is actually noticeably better on the Pro models, especially Pro Max.

Any iPhone 16 users? What’s the SOT you’re getting. I just get about 4-5 hours with battery draining from 80 to 20%. Just wanted to know it’s normal.
UP until a couple of weeks ago mine was the same but since the last software update it’s been really good.

Honestly I had a pro since the 12… tbh I use none of the features. Idc about the camera stuff barely nor do I care about the 120hz and always on. The Dynamic Island is nice tho but I’m fine with settling for a plus for the first time. Only getting the pro max cuz the battery
@@adrianm357 I hear ya! I'm really only getting the 16 PM for the battery and the slightly bigger display. Also, I can't do 60Hz or forfeit AOD. The USB-C is another reason; I'm coming from the 14 PM.

@@truthteller2711because i buy them outright from Apple and just use a mvno service. Trade in value for a pro max to pro max is pretty solid compared to if I got a plus this year and say next year the pro max is truly badass I’d have to pay more..
I have a 12. Trying to hang in there for 18 or even iPhone 20 if my phone hangs in there

The problem between the 16 and the 16 pro is the small pricegap. You get the base modell with 128GB in Germany for 949 euro and the 16 pro for 1199. So 250 Euro for the "better" pro modell. the gap is to short. For me, the difference has to be bigger to really think about it. Especially if you finance the phone through Amazon or others. The extra €250 you pay for the Pro is not such a big difference to consider going smaller.
Agreed. There's a $200 USD price difference between the 16+ and Pro Max models.
Yeah, the iPhone 16 is a great phone and I love that new color ultramarine. I have the 16 Pro Max. The 16 is getting closer but a lot of the features in the pro I just wouldn’t wanna live without. Can you test the camera against the 16 shooting pro raw highest quality which I believe is pro JPEGXL lossless perhaps. I have found that when I shoot in pro raw like if I’m shooting scenery I could zoom in really close and get super fine detail.
Def the best, the camera is not inferior anymore, only missing one telephoto camera. The teal color is unbeatable. 120 hz is not a big deal at all. I switch from 16 pro to other cheap iphones all day, could not notice any change.

I gave the 16 Plus a shot, but it just didn't feel right in my hand. So, I swapped my 15 Pro Max for a 16 Pro Max.

I’m still rocking an iPhone 8 and I honestly can’t imagine why I would want to upgrade. Will safari load 1 second quicker? Ooo. Maybe, but who cares? Not me. Also, I _despise_ FaceID and now that the newest SE iPhone has gotten rid of touchID I guess I won’t be upgrading at all if my iPhone 8 stops working.
Anyway, there’s nothing really new on a modern smartphone. It’s all software and marketing BS, IMO.

I was disappointed that Apple didn't use newer x75 5G modem for iPhone 16 models, that's only other gripe with promotion display! Who asked for that stupid camera control button on basic models😂

If I had purchased an iPhone 15, I would be pissed off right now,. Just saying. I really think this roll out of Apple AI will do dis-service to the reputation of the company. "We deliberately made your phone obsolete in one year. Fuck you." If some minor elements of the new AI were available it might encourage you to upgrade to the 17 next year but this is a kick in the guts. "We got your money last year so fuck off." I did purchase the 16 Pro Max this year but I will be considering future options, including leaving the platform if they fuck me over like they did the iPhone 15 buyers.

Ive been with iPhone for 13 years and there an absolute joke ,,,,ive gone with the s24 ultra and by far it leaves iPhone way behind im done with them

@@newsnetworkz I haven’t used this particular generation of Samsung Galaxy, but they don’t change much. The S24 is no better than the S22, and they’re both mediocre with a bunch of gimmicky, useless features. All of the must-have features can be found on decent smartphones like the iPhone and Pixel.
