@@jjpugplayer9312 The battle maids were supposed to act as a distraction against invading players, while the guild members prepared for the real battles. Nazarick's battle maids are only around level 50 or so.

Respect to Green Leaf Palpatra, the old guy.
He was the only one out of his entire team that was able to fight the Old Guarders evenly.... that is until he got overwhelmed by multiple opponents at once. The rest of his team just got slaughtered with practically no resistance.

Makes you feel sorry for the adventurers, until you realize they’re breaking into somebody’s home with the intent of murdering the residents and stealing their things, and they believe it’s okay because the residents aren’t human.
And if I remember correctly, Ainz leave theme treasures in the entrance enough to be rich for life , but they wanted more and try to raid Nazarick

Have you read the light novel? If you read in chapter 2 part 3, between the narrator and the speech of the Foresights, you understand that they did not know that the tomb had an owner.

all the named Workers we met are as strong as mythril-ranked adventurers so lv 21 - 23
the Nazarick Old Guarders are also lv 21 - 23 which is probably why the old guy survived so long
we saw the Nazarick Old Guarders in season 2 in the lizardmen arc along with the Nazarick Elder Guarder and the Nazarick Master Guarder, the latter are the strongest Pop NPC of Nazarick up to now
Too bad everyone besides the old guy are weak as hell
Dude, Mitrhil are between lv 18-20. Orichalcum is between lv 21-23. While Adamantite is above that. They even say in the LN that the old man is Orichalcum ranked and is the second strongest of the workers who went into the tomb. Foresight who fought against Ainz had the strength of mythril ranked adventurers. Then there is that "fool without a name" that has elf slaves, his lv was about 23-24 since it is said that he is weaker than Brain who is somewhere between lv 25-27. While Gazef is somewhere between lv 28-29 and Hamusuke is between lv 32-35.
Then there is the difficulty rating system(which are not mentioned in the anime) which goes by 3 times their lv, which Evileye ´s rating was 150 and that makes her lv 50(or 51 to be exact, unless she removes her ring)
By the way Brain at the very end of vol 14 is now somewhere around lvl 40

As the light ebbed away from their eyes, you can bet that most of the people in Green Leaf's last thoughts were:
"...Man, screw that guy who told those maids that having maids in a tomb was in bad taste."
The sad thing is that the maids weren't even testing their combat abilities, apparently the entire point of summoning the old guards was to test whether of not they could catch up to people on the run. If Green Tusk had just made a run for it they may have been able to survive a little bit longer.
Maybe longer, they were essentially surrounded and would have to bust through the skeletons to make a break for the exit. Something they simply didn’t have the power to do.

@@leonel392 All the adventurers were summoned to do experiments, but I think even Azin commented that they were far weaker than expected. The monk guys the only one who would of had a shot at busting through, but everyone else wouldn’t of made it. They’d be cut to ribbons trying, and it isn’t a video game. So bad wounds would slow them down to be caught. Even then, the monk realized to late that it was a lost cause trying to make a stand. By then, he had to much aggro and surrounded on all sides.

I like how the battle maid have the classic maid uniform (or mostly classic) but with metal plate to identify them as more that simply maid

Old Guarders are like the regular troops of Nazarick and they can field thousands. Nazarick only need to field a couple thousands of Old Guarders + a few Elder Guards and Master Guards as commander with couple Death Knights and Nazarick will conquer the world. Too bad Aizn won't allow usage of Nazarick resources, that's why Demiurge had quite a lot of trouble in complete the task of conquering the world.
but there is a good reason for not using the resources, they don't know if they can replenish them, that is why Ainz is making experiments in the box as well buying different things from the Kingdom and putting them in the box

I love how all of this was little more than a chance to give the defenses of nazarick a dry run to see what worked and how cheaply they could defend the place. Yeah there was more done afterwards but that was the main goal here. Lure in some mid ranked workers, see how fast they die and how effective their automated defenses are so they know how expensive it would be to protect nazarick without just dog piling the enemy with the floor guardians. And it turns out... its pretty darn easy. There are maybe like, 5 people in the kingdom and in the empire each that could actually pose a threat to the auto spawning undead to the point where the named guys might have to show up to stomp them flat. The rest are just cannon fodder to nazarick. And even those elites barely manage to match the battle maids who are in turn the weakest named members of nazaricks guards. Like if the entire Blue Rose team showed up they would actually put up a solid fight against the maids. They would still LOSE, but it would be an actual fight, and they might actually accomplish something before dying.
The entirety of the Blue Roses barely can take on Entoma, who is one of the weakest of the maids.
@@dragontamer9323 Too be fair, it was only three of the 5 members of blue rose, but yeah. Like I said, they would lose, and lose fairly easily against all the battle maids, but at least it would be an actual fight rather than a casual slaughter like if they tried to fight albedo. That was my main point. Even the most legendary of adventurer teams would be overmatched by the weakest named members of nazarick. Fluder might be able to cause some havoc up to and including the battle maids, but he would be pounded flat against the guardians.
@@chrishubbard64 I wouldn't say Entoma is the weakest maid, her build is just not made for a 1vX scenario.
Shes mainly a disruptive support with summons and the like.
In other words, shes WAY stronger if she has someone to support in the first place.
@@brosephstinson1297Yeah I get that but it still means she is the least capable of holding her own in a fight and it still took a 3 on 1 of the strongest adventure team in the kingdom including a spell thats specifically a hard counter to her, in order for them to just barely win. That VERY firmly establishes the pecking order of nazarick versus the world.
@@dragontamer9323 hey, but they managed to "make her bleed" which, all things considered should be an achievement, sure she is the weakest of the pleiades, but a mere mortal hurting a demigod or maybe even a god, no matter the power of said op enemy, is still hurting an op enemy
I’m still terrified by the fact floor 8 massacred most if not all remaining players who raided the great tomb. 1500 or more all together got wrecked by that floor from what I have heard. That’s insane
From what I understand, it was a suicide bomb technique of some sort due to the special build of Victim, the floor guardian. There has to be a trick to it as there is no way the admins would have allowed it otherwise, but yeah, 1500 level 100s (probably) all got ganked.

You log back in only to have Neuronist Painkill seductively caressing your nervous system staring you in the face. Your now being used to charge her “TOYS” with all electric signals from your nerves being redirected by a glowing worm wriggling beneath your skin. That is what Alt+F4 gets you in Nazarick.
If I was in that group I would have loved to just explore not looting or anything like that the structure of that looks amazing. Kinda like an archaeologists

Me too, we don't see the maids fight until book 13 and shizu gets the spotlight for awhile. Hopefully they include it since they only do 3 books per season.

No the level 1 skeletons were used inside so the other groups would let there guard down and split up to explore different area's.
They were far above level 1 but not close to some of the major characters
As the others said they’re far above level 1-2. The level 2s were the skeletons even Gringham could one shot.
These Nazarick Old Guarders were Level 18 and could move at Supersonic speeds.
The maids commentary really makes this fight!
Even if they had run, they’re in Lord Ainz’s domain. Death is the only mercy presented in Nazarick.

Lets be honest, we wanted the old guy to live
What i don't like is back when Momon(Ainz) introduced himself to all the workers before they left for Nazarick the old guy challenged momon to a fight. To test out Momon and see the strength he was never able to achieve even in his prime. They left it out of the anime, the old man used every ability he had and didn't even scratch momon.

I waited almost the entire episode for a mocking description of the fight by the chambermaids

@@victorgilbert4687 Leading enemies around, drawing their attention away from vital party members, keeping them from grouping up too solidly and often leading them to a place where you have an advantage. Like guiding a horde of enemies to a choke point so you can fight them one on one. These dudes clumped up and got surrounded. If they kited enemies and split them up, they may have done slightly better.
Parpatra, the old man, decided on taking the guarders head on since they were definitely not as dangerous as the maids and that was their downfall. Although he was holding his own against two of the guarders his team was clearly not as experienced as he was. So as soon as the guy in the turban got injured their formation crumbled and everyone dies.
They were stuck in a pincer attack though. There was no direction to kite when the maids were just waiting for them to run.
Old man Palpatra was correct in that their only chance was to break through the Old Guarders.
When you party have been rolling 1-6 the entire session and decided to attack the final dungeon
bro the saddest part was the end of the episode where the girls little siblings are still waiting for her
little spoiler:they got bought as slaves and after some time they died

Solution is #1 in terms of looks. Also her deranged expression is my favorite.

Out of all the people who went down there for me it felt like the Elder went with them more of as a one last job to pay off a old debt before retirement then actually caring about the gold.

I mean with healing magic that can recover burns as if it's nothing.
Means you can get unlimited resources. Just by using naturally recoverable resources aka magic.
Unethical yes, but there is no doubt that people would choose the suffering of a handful for the convenience of the rest.
That depends on what resources are expended in casting magic.
They already did experiments with that, if they cut an arm or a leg and then use healing magic they disappear, but if they eat it before it seems like the nutrients still

Thats because they were, and they didnt. Best way to put it, Ainz and his people are playing an mmorpg 6 expansions deep, and they just got brought back to the vanilla game with all those levels abilities and items.

Maybe this is why the game company was going to shut down the game, Nazarick was too powerful for any group to take on.
Nazarick was actually ranked #9 in-game in their prime- it's was more RP-leaning compared to the Mix-Maxing guilds. Imagine a guild where every member was Sebas/Shalltear/Albedo/Cocoytus, that's pretty much #1.

I think she was rooting for them to beat the Old Guarders so that they could actually run more useful tests. Failing the test at the very first level has to be kind of disappointing for the researchers really.

I haven't read the novels, but as far as I could tell, nobody survived that.
Most of them survived the initial "attack" but were later used as test subjects and died under torture.
