I think you have to fold the legs by squeezing it, but eventually it does the splits again...
This was extremely frustrating to follow. Aside from the lack of verbal instructions, the person in the video spent an absurd amount of time on the easy folds but then quickly cut to the next fold on the more complicated ones, spinning the paper around without indication. And don’t even get me started on the white background and white paper. This made me never want to do origami again. I refused to give up, so it took me 40 minutes...I kept pausing and replaying.

@TAY JING XUAN Moe . you could replay it so you make sure you know what it is I had a hard time also. But after the second time I been making 4 of them.
I made it at school I needed a little help by a friend but otherwise that it was pretty easy, I’ve never done origami before too👍

Same issue here, the fold might be easy but the video cuts, which is annoying.
This was total torture! I gave up in rage from how frustrating the tutorial was! This isn’t fun at all

What the hell is happening at 1:53? When you pull those two sides in, I am left with a triangle, not a square. Maybe if you didn’t do an edit cut, we could see.

All you need to do is look at the video... Notice how point the of the square that you start with is touching the table.

That's where the video swaps over to another paper, if you follow the folding from the beginning exactly as how the green and white sides folded, you get creases that fold in the opposite direction. So the video creator, swaps over to another paper folded in the other way at 1:53. I had to go back and fold the creases in the opposite direction for this to work with the coloured-side out...
For people who’ve never don’t anything like this, this will be difficult just like anything else you are new to. But if you’ve done origami for a bit this is an easy and quick tutorial, give it a go if you have just come straight to to comments 👍

If you're going to swap papers at 1:53 so that creases are in the opposite direction, then can't you just re-film that correct foldings? I had to go back and re-crease the whole thing so the green side folds outside like in the video

It’s one of those precut origami paper, you can make a square out of anything so you don’t necessarily need the measurements I made this dinosaur out of receipt paper 😂

to be honest the thing is with all the tutorials with his is that it is SOOO unclear, I end up having to watch other tutorials that actually show step-by-step. His hands are kinda big and that usually wouldn’t matter but he should really label what he is doing, and at 5:01 I was practically completely lost because he didn’t even show what part of the paper he was folding and he just carried on without showing anything clearly… I’ve watched a few other tutorials of his and I find them really frustrating, especially since he labels each video as ‘easy’ as well as plastering the word ‘EASY’ all over his profile and name.. because it certainly is not.

Guys it is pretty easy if you had experience with origami. I made one for my brother and he loved it! So can you stop expressing your rage in the comments?

It was frustrating because he started with a water bomb base and then suddenly was working with a preliminary base. It also would have been helpful if he showed how to do the prefolds for the crimp fold for the feet of the model. I'm also an experience folder and I found it annoying to have to stop in the beginning of the model to reverse all my folds so I could finish make a bird base.
To the people criticizing at 1:53
If you don't already know how to fold basic origami (crane, paper airplanes, etc), then please know what you are talking about before you begin to criticize. I see this too often and rarely is it actually a problem.
If this doesn't apply to you then don't @ me.

If you flip it around to a certain angle you should she a rhombus shape. Then fold it. If that doesn't help I don't know what else to say cause I'm bad at explaining.
