    You did EXCELLENT on this video. Not knowing these lists; I knew I wanted all of what you mentioned. I did a couple of tours and calls with some SLE (sober living extension); I went to rehab 1st and decided that an SLE would be the best option for me. It may not make sense but being at an SLE you give yourself a break and your loved ones a continuous break from you addiction and recovery. I LOVE my house manager; she is strict but is awesome as well understanding our individual situation. Prayers to everyone going through your sobriety it is possible.

    Thank you for this information. Absorbing all the videos you've put out on sober living and trying to create a goal of opening one this year. I hope to join your coaching pgm in the coming months as I dont think I can do this on my own without some mentoring.

    I own a property that is around 4 to 5 miles from grocery stores and around 2.5 miles from public transportation. I know that's quite a way to walk or bike. Just wanted feedback since this is what I own and I'm considering this.

      @@RecoverySisterhoodPodcast That can still work in certain circumstances. It’s more about the needs of the area. There are also ways to market yourself as more of a high end sober living home with more privacy, access to nature, etc.
      I’d love to talk with you about your specific property. Can you book a zoom call with me to talk it through? www.soberlivingriches.com/schedule

      @@babylove2414 No you don’t need a license in Kentucky. You’re leaving 50-70% on the table if you are leasing to operators instead of running it yourself. It doesn’t take much time to run it right. Let’s jump on a call and talk it through -> www.soberlivingriches.com/schedule

    How often do you have problems with them not paying? High turn over rate?

    • @andrewlamb
      @andrewlamb  7 місяців тому +2

      Very low turnover because we screen people well. That also means low rate of not collecting. Most of our income is from local government programs using grant funds to pay for the housing.

    Hi ,can you please tell me what type of insurance I need for a sober home. My homeowners insurance will not cover the home because it's used for sober living. I know I can get liability insurance for a small business, but what coverage do I get to cover the home in case of a storm or fire or break in? TIA!!

    • @andrewlamb
      @andrewlamb  3 місяці тому +1

      @@danielletadros1891 Standard landlord policy would still cover things that aren’t your fault, like break-ins, etc. I had a standard policy on one of my sober living homes cover a drink driver hitting the house. Driver had no affiliation with our house. Total fluke and he lost control while turning. Insurance issued a check no problem. Sober living insurance exists that cover the biz and the home, but it’s pricey. Cost depends on square footage and your state.

      Very little. I bought the house working with a private lender who funded 100% of the purchase and the renovations. My first 3 were this way. My 4th one was a combo of hard money and private money. I have a video about that too on UA-cam... ua-cam.com/video/9QX5kMRgrc4/v-deo.htmlsi=GTlR-oM6h64jRbw-
