Skolnick is waaaaay underrated. One of the great talents of the Thrash era.
I basically like your post but man - he is not underrated - he is well known for his skill and anyone who knows just a bit about metal should know that Skolnick kicks major ass - he is the solo for most of Testamet's albums and they are ALL awesome! ;) Big horns up from old school thrasher
But Eric peterson is a better song writer than Alex. Look at all Testament records (at least the last 5 records)

He is not underrated. Maybe Testament is an underrated band, but Skolnik is well known outside the metal world and actually considered one of the top guitar players in the world.
He's actually popular among guitar players, not underrated. Outside big 4, Testament is most popular thrash alongside Exodus.
