In my years of experience in Architecture and Construction, the general contractor primarily looks at your details. The model is just a guide, so you shouldn't spend a lot of time trying to make it perfect. Although you should try to make the roof drainage work. A simple detail bubble should direct to the right detail. Don't try to work everything out in your model. Your details can make or break your project.

yup. they understand the drainage, and get it done. youre really just making sure you give thickness to the structural members, plus some more to create slope (1/4" per foot). I use revit and simply dont bother with this.

Yep, I discovered this one myself in the full version of Revit I use as a freelancer for an architectural company. Very straightforward and pure. But for myself, I use Revit LT and it's a shame you can't modify sub elements in LT... I do think it's elementary and it should be included...

That roof will have a different height at parameter. Meaning different level of insulation. Which will be a weak roof detail. It’s a good way for presentation but practically, it’s a bad detail.

Cad blocks have an option to add stretch which allows you to just drag block components.
Is there an equivalent in revit? Anything which allows to manually drag one family component (like an additional movable truss) from project level?

This function can be great though for a shower that is 'tiled into' your floor (walk in shower or whatever)... as far as geometry at least... I haven't yet figured out how to not have it freak out with the patter of my tiles :-(

Bro like in archicad there are keyboard shortcuts to go plans sections and 2d view quickly using f2, f6, f5 keys is there anything similar in revit ?

I just found in keyboard shortcuts, but this command is for creating 3d view, plan views/regions, sections. You can also use tile views which is good for checking plans, 3d and sections etc. , at the same time.

This is a crappy way to do it. You need to be able to define a the slope to meet code. In the USA flat roofs need to maintain a 2% pitch minimum. I'd love to see you use this to do a complex multifamily roof with multiple drains. This doesn't work. I have a better way but I will keep it to myself.
