What was the scariest moment you had while working in an ER or health setting?
You should do at least one vlog so we can live vicariously through you for a day! That's*ALWAYS* fun!!!
🤟😃❤️
Why did you work in the er and would you recommend it?
I don't longer have a day job thanks to you guys!
The kind of phrase you don't expect to be expressed with glee 😂
With a face like that🤗no can be mad at you!! Good luck in anything u go for. U R AWESOME💥💥💥
It’s so unusual to hear Steveioe talking in a serious voice like himself: not Ben, not Austin, not Rich and not some weird patient.))
And not calling us mother fcks
I know, right?? XD
When all characters combine ...you get...CAPTAIN Steveioe
🤣😂🤣
@@Followthefashion_ that’s what I thought 🤣
You deserve it. 11 years in emergency medical attention and care means that you should now have 11 years and more in whatever else, peace and difference, change for the good. You are an incredible content creator and considering your knowledge on the subject, I can't see you not continuing to blow up constantly in the coming years. Have a good day everyone
I did not expect him to have over a decade of experience in this field! Wow
@@ghost245353 usually when you’re a doctor, you stay a doctor for a long time. My dad has been in medicine for like 30-35 years now.
@@ikit1 i am unfortunately neither of those, nor the dude who made the video, i hope you get your lunch tho🤣
@@ghost245353 neither did I, truly shocked me but at the same time I don't recall him ever mentioning it

I am a retired Nurse Practitioner and you have pulled me out of several down periods. You are still helping people and you are BRILLIANT at it❤️
comedy has long been accepted as a form of therapy. it works, and it works WELL. i watch probably 50% comics and 50% tech/computer youtube stuff and that's about it. no TV anymore for me. and it keeps my head in a far better place. im a disabled vet with PTSD and anxiety, so having a good laugh, especially at the end of the day before bed, is literal medicine for me!
My husband has worked in the ER for get this ....41 years !! I have no clue how he managed so long. He is the sweetest nurse. Patients love him. Enjoy your new journey !! Don't stop the ER content as we enjoy it
does he even HAVE a stomach anymore? holy cow, 4 decades of ER is incredible
So wholesome you're out here on the anonymous internet putting your husband on blast for being a sweetheart. That's marriage goals right there.
Former peds triage nurse here - you have helped me normalize my complex feelings toward healthcare and nursing in general. 11 years in ER/EMT could give you enough content for a lifetime. You are a genuinely caring person with a hilarious take on life. just think of all the people who love your work and put the rest of those emotions on a shelf
As a 10 year veteran of an LA county ED, I so appreciate your humor, insight and am so happy you found your niche making us all laugh. Great job Steve!
I am retired from working in three different Orange County hospitals in the ER.
I also worked for a time securing death certificates in LA, Orange and SanDiego Counties.
I love the amount of medical personnel are commenting here!
I miss the rhythm of the ER - it kept us on our toes, for sure!
I retired a year ago after working in health care for 33 years. I was burned out and was hating going to work. After a year off I went back, but to a much less stressful office. I love my job again, being able to help people is very fulfilling, if sometimes draining.
Hang in there everyone. People so appreciate you! ❤
Love your work.
Just a little tip.
any job can get to you ..
the only thing that helps is doing some destressing exercises as a routine..it takes the tense edges off and gives clarity..explore what suits you.
my grandmother retired after 38 years of nursing. she was eventually promoted to director of nursing at our hospital, and attended surgeries even after "retiring" because she wanted to help the newer nurses get experience. it was a smaller hospital, in a farming community, but has a nice trauma unit and cancer unit (farmers tend to get messed up a lot by both cancer and equipment)
I have a rare incurable genetic condition and have spent waaaaay too much time in hospitals and your work makes me laugh so hard and feel so good, man, its hard to express our gratitude back at you for what you do. Just keep doing you and youll keep putting smiles on folks faces and thanks for some great tips along the way lmao!
Hey, fellow zebra here 👋 EDS Type 3 and a Potsie too. No gastro issues (knock on wood), just some mast cell stuff and paroxymal hypertension.
I agree, he is soooo funny. I played his vids during my last ER visit and I like to think laughing at his comedy helped stabilize my bp. Lol 😁
I have Rheumatoid arthritis and I watch him when I'm getting infusions! Makes me laugh and makes the time go by! Thank you Steve!
Thanks for noticing. Allot of nurses come to this channel.
As a former ER tech and lover of comedy, I just want to say that I truly appreciate your channel. I hope you find that healthy balance. I’m sure burnout here is easy, just like it was in the ER. Make sure to take care of you. Everything will fall into place. ❤️
You are a gift and a blessing to me and all of us healthcare workers. I'm a social worker and home-based therapist, and all of your work, whenever you post it, really helps. Just keep being yourself, and decrease that self-imposed pressure! You're continuing to make a huge positive difference for people, both with your hilarious sense of humor and your outlook of the world. I appreciate you!
I love that you don't have to do the ER anymore. 💓
I love watching your videos! I am a 72 yr old retired operating room nurse and your videos are hilariously right on. I have a hard time remembering to hit the "like" button so always appreciate it when the entertainer reminds us to do that. You are an extremely talented and likeable young man - and cute too. Best of luck with your social media adventure!!
Yes, definitely cute!!
We’re happy as long as you’re happy. Make sure you stay healthy.
You’re a gift. Don’t sweat taking a break. We’re not going away and we hope for all the best for you.
And thank you!!!
@@Maggie8108 thanks
I love that you're educating us while entertaining us. Well for those of us not in the field at least. Great work Stevie
As a former E.R. REGISTRATION you really made me laugh, I am sure what ever you go with will be a success.
He is entertaining people in the field also!!
Really refreshing to hear you being a human. Lots of strength and love your way and thank you for the laughter you gift!
This was so wholesome and genuine. That sign off was so innocently adorable. Keep your head up man, you got this. It may be cliche but sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is take a step back and smell the roses, just appreciate yourself for having the courage to pursue what makes you happy even when it's hard. Far too many of us dont do that.
True! I didn't take care of myself & I'm paying the price every day now. No vices to cause this, but I've been a nurse for 32 years, retired now. I took care of everyone BUT myself. As my parents rarely said, "DO as I say, not as I do!" They were good people!
I enjoy your videos so much b/c I can relate to so many of them! I'm going to have to cut down though, because your trademark word is popping up in my head & I have to stop it! Gotta find the right balance I reckon! Love you anyway!
Fellow ER tech here! I've been in EMS for 5 years and it's been a rough time the past couple of years. I think you are hilarious and make it POSSIBLE for us to laugh through this shit show! Thank you!
It’s sad to see how anxious he is. Makes you think about all the social media personalities and celebrities, and the anxieties that they have to deal with. He looked so uncomfortable. I work at a hospital and would love to give him stories lol. Much love and hope you figure out what’s best for you.
If you haven't seen a scenario you either participated in or observed, perhaps Steve can use it in a future video. Can't help to suggest a few wacky tales.
@@cathytoms1770 a lady knew where the bathroom was. Once in awhile she would use the bathroom. Or pee on the bed. She walked into the hallway stripped off her paper clothes and peed. She then did snow angels in it. 2-3 minutes later we had to respond as a college freshman had done LSD and Percocet and punched his arm through a window. He ran threw the ED, bloody gauze slapping around. There was blood on the walls, floor and ceiling. It took 5 of us to tackle him to the ground as he almost ran over a tech and a visitor.
Stevio, you deserve it! You actually have taught me a lot from your videos. Thank you for everything and thank you so much for helping me laugh even on my hardest and saddest days.
I am a retired medical technologist. Your ER bits nearly always bring back memories of similar situations as I heard tales from friends who worked in the ER. When our trauma lab first opened and we became the Level One Trauma Center for the area, I worked 6 months of nights in that lab and loved it.
Your mention of a screw driver in a patient’s hip brought back memory of our patient who took off his ball cap to reveal a screwdriver embedded to the handle thru the top of his head. He displayed no adverse signs during or after removal. We had a GSW to head once where bullet only penetrated skin then skidded up & over skull coming to rest at base of skull still between skull & skin. A dude who decided to feed his pet rattlesnake after getting home from night out drinking. One we never really figured out was the guy that came in shot in the big toe & the butt. We settled on him really hightailing it & shot happened when his back foot was kicked up in line with his butt. Never knew what would come thru the door next. Then there were the dreaded Full Moon Nights.
Your ER videos make me smile! Thank you for that. They make me remember times when I knew almost instantly that my contribution to a patient’s care was helping to save a life at that moment. Please continue to post your videos. Admire you for remaining active on the front line as long as you did. Have seen many who burned out after about 5 yrs in ER. Others who did last seemed to become cynical & lose their sense of humor. Glad you survived with your humor.
Screwdriver, snake, bullet, etc. 😅
Damn, now I have so many questions about your story. 😂
I am sorry, Full Moon Nights?
@@GabrielaCenturionNeumann They could also be called "hold my beer" nights.
@@charlii5917 I still can't grasp the concept... Is it like too crazy of a night?
@@GabrielaCenturionNeumann Yes, they are crazy nights. All kinds of people come out of the wood work. When I worked in nursing homes, all the patients were up roaming and creating havoc all night on full moons. The same when I worked in the hospital on specialty and neuro floors.
I am an RN that has worked from Trauma-to-Med Surg and you hit the nail on all of the scenarios! I want you to know that I appreciate you for your humor of your videos. I also admire you for being open and honest with us in this one. Whatever you decide to do is what you need to do. The world is scary and stress levels are at the highest right now. We all should step back and take care of ourselves. May God Bless you in all ways. 🥰
Hey man, I love how you manage expectations regarding ER visits. I think as well as being entertaining it genuinely helps people. Good for you.
I think you help those of us who are not medical people to appreciate what these folks go through. Even though most of us got sucked into watching your bits for other reasons. Thank you.
Hey Steve! Just wanted to say: great job! Your are doing amazing at exposing the realities of the healthcare system and the life of healthcare workers. You also brought focus and educated people on very touchy subjects that needed to be brought up -Thank you! Being used to a go-go-go daily lifestyle, it is understandable that you'd also try to give your 150% for social media as well - but it's super okay if you skip a day or two. I am sure that even the shortest video can sometimes take hours to make and coming up with new ideas all the times can be stressful. Please pat yourself on the back for everything you did so far and allow yourself to take a break if you need to. You will be just as awesome after the break ;)
I could feel your anxiety through the screen, it's all over your face. Chill, my dude. You're doing just fine, it's ok. You got this. 😉
It's gotta be hard building something around your job, then leaving that job to focus on what you built! He's probably worried it will disappear and what he'll do with his life. A worthwhile risk imo though!! ^^
@@BldElfPrince well....he could always go back to nursing... So it's not like he doesn't have a fallback plan

❤take time to refresh yourself, enjoy life, get back on track, routine, I personally love all of your videos and share them with my friends. You’re hilarious
Former radiology special tech here, you have hit the nail on the head for soooo many situations that only a hospital worker would understand. The work/life balance is so hard. Keep taking care of yourself, and the real fans will keep supporting ya! ❤️
You've put laughter and humor back where it needs to be. Where it can really heal people. You're awesome!!! No pressure!
Never thought of it that way, but you are correct, just good old fashion comedy! No PC stuff.
I think your comparison of the ER and social media being draining is spot on. Best advice I've had was my nursing instructor teaching me to find my support network/counselor early on in my career. Social media is its own beast. Give yourself some credit and rest. most of your followers will stay followers regardless of ups and downs. We got you
Yes, making people want to die instead of go to an ER is very draining lol
You're awesome; I wish you continued success! :)

You deserve a vacation! Thank you for all you've done and I hope we still get to see you here!
I really appreciate seeing the more human "you" side. It actually makes me appreciate your content more, funny enough. You're doing great, and you'll get that balance figured out.
As a consumer of social media I sometimes forget that it's not all fun and laughs for the creators. Much appreciation to you for the content you put out!
It certainly can't be an easy gig, we greatly appreciate how hard you work for us.
Followed you from the beginning and you just keep getting better and funnier. Take a break we will all be here cheering you on!!
After all those years taking care of others, I'm so glad you can slow down (at least a bit) and take care of yourself and make us laugh at the same time. ✌️
Taking care of others? On TikTok he is known for making people want to die instead of go to an ER. He is a jerk on there and literally told people not to waste doctors time with life threatening symptoms if the first doctor doesn't figure it out right away. He is dangerous
This felt very personal and unscripted. I admire that. Keep killing it!
It was nice to hear some more vulnerable real life stories from you…LOve your comedy as well, and also so sweet to see you in this mood☮️💗☮️
Congrats on making it on social media!🎉
I truly love your content.❤️ I was an EMT Intermediate for 2yrs, Paramedic for 3, a RN in my local ER for 2, travel ER RN in New Orleans for 2 & part time flight medic on the helicopter ambulance for nearly 2 of the 4 I worked as a RN in the ER. I miss it horribly. I was forced to quit due to a combination of my genetic illnesses (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) & a severe back injury while trying to move a patient for transport that was supposed to be sedated but wasn’t. I’ve ended up becoming basically fully disabled as I can no longer stand or sit upright for very long due to extensive joint damage in my hips & nerve damage in my back, hips & pelvis.😕 I have managed to complete my BA in psychology & was halfway done with my Masters in Clinical Psych when I had some serious health issues & then just when I was set to start back…COVID began. My plan/hope is with my Masters I can primarily work from home for one of the online psych treatment/therapy companies who offer services via text, video chats, audio only & messaging. As then I can sit curled in my big comfy chair with my feet up or even be laying down for any non-visual talks if needed. I will also be able to set my own schedule which is important since I have a fair number of dr appts & I care for my disabled mother’s medical care as well. I can also buy 2 more super comfy chairs in the future & maybe do in person visits 2-3 days a week. Helping people is my passion & brings me so much joy. So I really want to continue doing it in some form. Going into psych was always my long term plan but I had hoped to make it at least 10yrs as a travel nurse before being forced to switch careers. However with my lung issues & other health problems working during COVID as a nurse or paramedic wouldve been impossible. Especially since my mom who lives with us has COPD & my husband is a childhood cancer survivor with several risk factors. So I could not have put them at risk even if I was willing to risk myself.
But since I miss working in the ER so much I love your videos…as many truly are a window into what working there is like.
If u need a break- we’ll all still be here for u, i know staying on social media is hard and stuff- but we’re always here for u, no matter what!❤️
"Worked 8 years as an ER Tech"
Damn! He doesn't look that old.
"And before that 2 years as an EMT"
Jesus christ! 10 years plus probably at least 2 in school, my age guessing is really bad!
"But before that I worked as a Vietnamese medical translator for a year"
Wtf, what the hell curveball is that?!? 😂😂
EMT is vocational schooling. About 160hours.
No degree necessary.
Paramedics require 2 year degree I believe with some states. But I believe you can just go to a school to gain a certification in it. However, a lot of hospitals recently, in my area, are requiring associates degrees for Paramedics…. Can even go for a bachelors in emergency medicine as a paramedic I believe.
Correct me if I’m wrong though. I don’t want to be spewing incorrect info out here.

It’s interesting to hear you say that the mental challenges of working in the ER are similar to social media. Most people would not think that, given the difficult subject matter in the ER, but I feel like other careers don’t get enough credit for being mentally challenging as well. Everyone assumes that if it’s not life and death, it’s not challenging, which is not true
