- The remastered “Live at The New Penelope Café“, recorded in Montreal in 1967, showcases the legendary folk blues duo in unusually lively form.
It’s possible that the duo weren't even thinking about the fact that they were being recorded, and so were less stiff and formal than they could sometimes sound.
The record a bit louder and noisier, but also more exciting -- the voices mesh together a bit rougher and more honestly than they do on some of their other live releases.
First heard them in a coffee house somewhere outside Adelaide SA. In 1966 aged 15 my first time to hear blues , many thanks Sonny & Brownie .
I was there at that performance. It was amazing!
One of my absolute favorites I love the country blues
thank you for providing this excellent album. what a great listen!
They were great alone by themselves, but when together, they were Legendary!!!
Simply magic...
Love these two. They were great.
fireeeeee ❤
timeless!
the times of changing are past, the realization is fast, the memorization a holdout, we fold out into the blues
Thank you. This is how keep this music alive. There old retired guys and little kids who will be inspired and keep the tradition alive. The masters
Feliz feliz de escuchar a estos maestros de la armonica desde Mexico !!!
Best of all buuses🎉😂❤❤😂😂😂men I love 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
