Ahh, the Krusty Krab! The best burger restaurant in Bikini Bottom, with over-expensive food courtesy of Mr. Krabs and its love for money XD XD
The restaurant itself is modeled after a lobster crab, if I'm not mistaken.
6:57 In Spongebob, marine creatures drive boat-mobiles. Yep, boat-cars. This one is incredibly accurate to the show :o
7:19 XD XD XD XD You just condemned all Bikini Bottom by daring to give Bob the chance to drive a boat-mobile XD XD XD You see, Bob is the best burger frier in the town, no one can replace him on that. On the other hand, he's just the worst driver ever XD XD XD He actually doesn't have a driving license either, despite how many times he tried to get it. He always pass the written test, but the practical test ends ALWAYS on disaster. His teacher always ends in hospital and she has a terrible trauma of seeing him, buildings are knocked out down... On the first episode he's shown trying to get his license, Sponge Bob already tried and failed the test 38 times!

8:20 Patrick Star is... hopelessly dumb. Like really dumb. A cloud cuckoo lander like no one else. Perhaps a ditzy genius sometimes. Really hilarious. Enjoying the trash is something we simple yet average or above smart mortals like us won't understand. The mind of Patrick is full of misteries. Interestingly enough, despite how dumb Patrick is... He got his driving license on the first try. Before Bob XD XD

15:29 I didn't expect they would reference the crane game machine episode. In that episode, Mr. Krabs, always seaching for a way to get more money, installed this machine full of plushies. SpongeBob has almost always many talents (though driving and fighting karate are not some of them), and he happens to be just a pro playing that crane game. Every time he tries, he gets a plushy. Squidward, being the cinic, grumpy memetic loser he is, tries skeptically the machine, and somewhat uncaracteristically of him, he got excited by it despite failing the first time. Then he tries and fails soooooo many times that he spends all his salary on it, and he's about to sell HIS HOUSE. SpongeBob teaches him how to get a plushy, and Squidward gets one finally. However, he becomes so overconfident, he try to drive a real construction crane, giving him many troubles XD

Maybe the Krusty Krab is cramped, but wow, it's such a detailed set. This is definitely a love letter to the show. Trust me, people who love SpongeBob will be pleased to display it n.n

The room with the anchor on the door is Mr. Krabs’ office and the blue thing in the room is the safe with the Kraby Patty secret formula and a bunch of money

Plankton is a small planktonic copepod and the self-proclaimed archenemy of Mr. Crabs.
Also Plankton's the guy squashed on the floor. That piece is there as one you can swap out with one of the plain floorboard tiles. It's mentioned in the instructions
Looks like a fun build and very solid. The roll top is crazy good.
I’m surprised it works that well but doing it too much will shift bricks around. They should incorporate the rolling in to modulars. Can you imagine if they roll from the front to the back and expose the whole set back to front? lol.

It’s funny seeing a non-SpongeBob fan review this set & miss the references & misname stuff.
Love all the weirdly specific episode references in it, like the crane machine from “Skill Crane” & the Secret Patties from “Krabby Patty Creature Feature”. Even though some of them like the hot sauce bottle & Mr Krabs’s (Krusty Krab is just the name of the restaurant) 1st dollar aren’t normally seen in the Krusty Krab. Missed opportunity to not have some more Krusty Krab specific references, like the dumpster graffiti from “Sailor Mouth” or have Nosferatu from “Graveyard Shift” even as a sticker.
Shame there are some weak points in the build structure & how small the back rooms are. Especially with how big the figures are compared to the rooms. On the bright side they look like they scale well with regular LEGO figures & official LEGO SpongeBob figures were released in the mid to late 2000s. And why are the stickers like temporary tattoos? Simple decals would be so much better.
Also why isn’t Plankton classified as a figure? He’s an established main character.

Thanks for the info!! I love these kind of unique sets that are unknown but yea I have no idea about SpongeBob..I grew up with Ren&Stimpy. I mean temp tattoos in the way they are applied, but they are decals…you just can’t take them off once it’s placed. Good news is there’s tons more official sets with them. Let’s see if I ever get around to them.

How do I put the stickers on? Need a tutorial. The door for the boat is literally cut In quarters and attached to the far edge etc.
Frustration I know..pain the ass... but you're supposed to peel off the transparent part. Should be a decal not a sticker, but don't mess it up or you're screwed...
Thanks for the review. Looking at the exterior and seeing the opening feature I was like: wow! Chris's commentary making it funny too. But the inside is quite disappointing. I still give it points for doing all those rooms, but at the same time I think: what's the point if your figure hardly fits anywhere? The flimsy floor is also a big negative.
Seeing this review I kind of hope one of the other brick brands will pick up the Sesame Street license. I mean getting that connecting build for the Lego set after all this time seems very unlikely.
The sesame set was so good. I’d review it but the kids totally destroyed and lost a lot of pieces…. Damn Lego for just teasing us with one set.
Ngl i just got the Kalos Blocks and have to say the other videos wich i saw on ur channel looking amazing. What or wich set from lego or bot lego would you reccomend for a small lego city as a shop? Keep it up❤
Oh man skies the limit! There’s so many options now. You’ve got like 20 coffee shops, 10 hospitals, bunch of treehouses hahah. I recommend them all!

I haven't been back to the office, but you could certainly take the door off totally, then apply the sticker to hold it together? I had to kind of do that to some sets.
Yeah I didn't realise how the stickers worked usually you just peel of and stick on bit these you peel off stick on and peel off again haha. @@brickmeupscottie

Normally I wouldn't spend money on fake lego(I only collect official lego,I've been collecting lego since 2012 and I'll be 22 this year) but I might even buy this
Oh nice. I’ve been collecting since 2017 for og Lego. More when I was kid but those are all gone… now I kinda wish I kept them… brands are getting really good nowadays compared to 3/4 years ago, especially the original sets. It’s just cool to see what else is out there even if you don’t buy but yes this one was quite a surprise, even I was like woah this thing opens up like this?!?!?
There are other brands that make good stuff even though they're not Lego. It's just a lot of the cheaper ones ruin it for the few good ones. Cobi is a brand I'd put up there close to Lego.
