Had bawa been in the episode, we would have definitely heard a disclaimer saying *guys we know not everyone has good memories with their relatives. We are just telling our stories and sorry for anyone feeling left out or having bad relatives*. #BawaOP
In my childhood atleast in Mumbai I have seen special relations- neighbours who became your family. I grew up in Dadar West in a chawl setup. The first generation of families came to this place in 1935- 37. Still for most of the families 3rd or 4th generation of the same families stay in the chawl. So my neighbours have seen my birth, growth and celebrated all milestones with me and family. In fact they know my relatives better than me. When my sister got married, all functions and celebrations were managed by the neighbors. It is very difficult to find these kind of relationships now because we are constantly on the move. You will not believe when I went to USA - first long term international travel- I was lucky to have my childhood friend and neighbour in the same city. It helped me a lot specially emotionally to get adjusted to this alien environment.
Talking of Family Trees, there used to be a Christian Burke family from undivided Punjab. The daughter of the family, Chand Burke, wanted to be an actress and started working in Punjabi movies. After partition, the daughter moved to Bombay to further her acting career while some of the other family members stayed in Pakistan. Samuel Burke, her brother, was an Indian Civil Servant who went on to become Pakistan's envoy to many western countries and Chand went on to have a successful acting career in Bombay and then got married to a Sindhi businessman Sundar Singh Bhavnani in 1955 with whom she had a daughter named Tonya and a son named Jagjit, who is the father of Bollywood film-star Ranveer Singh.
Family trees are maintained in 2 places i know. For North, it is at Varanasi. And South at Thanjavur (I think). You can actually go and update your tree for Future.
Yeah I've heard of this. In south India, there are few places, including Tanjavur, Madurai, Chidambaram etc. In fact in one place in South Tamilnadu there are special astrologers who can give you information about your genealogy, family deity, village or place of origin etc, if you don't know. They are called naadi josiyers.
On the matter of family tree stuff, there are scribes known as Pande in Haridwar (and other sacred places) where you could find written record of your ancestors.
Varun is just a genius for mumbling when he stumbles on the Intro but maintains the rhythm haha P.S. Varun didn’t get the Memo on wearing a Reddish Top.
One thing about being close to your relatives is they understand the family dynamics and how family members are and who they are so when your frustrated about like your parents or your siblings you can just go and went to them without needing to the whole family history, sometimes knowing that person they will give a good solution what to do.
Hey guys! It would be interesting to know about your favorite Colonges / perfumes (Casual, date, special occasion). Not sure if an entire episode can be dedicated to it but you guys can just talk about it in any episode❤️
Just a random thought guys. I saw the weird indian tv shows episode again after a long time its very funny. I think you guys can make episode 2 of it (I know part 2 is a sin but still 😂)
Loved the podcast as always.♥️Just wanted to share a weird fact that Dolphines play volleyball with puffer fish because their stinging makes them "high"...
I am in New York in Times Square, waiting for my friends and I’d rather watch TISS than whatever is happening in Times Square. Goes to show their entertainment level ❤
The koala poop behaviour is because of the gut microbes that they require to digest it. By feeding it to kids the kids then develop the required gut microbiome.
For the next tiss episode, it would be great if you guys could read the reddit stories related to relationships or "am I the asshole" thread and share your views on the stories.
For all those who haven’t seen judai (or even if you have), please watch the review of Only Desi of the movie. I guarantee lots of laughs. It’s hilarious
Olivia Coleman and Emilia Clarke are both 1/8th or 1/16th Indian, I think both are related to Bihar & UP. There are snippets on youtube about them finding it out or mentioning it.
I am following you guys from starting way before covid and previous channel, I maried on 4th dec 2022 and not been anymore your regular viewer becoz my wife is new to it. Just after 2 months we had our first fight only becoz our intrests pur differet (btw it is temporary we are in relationship from 12 years) after the fight I just have drinks and bing your videos. My favourite weird animal parent story is when this divorce lawyer talked about having clients who were fighting over a snake and each wanted sole custody.
Did bawa receive the books I had shipped ... varun can u please check with him :) its about my covid experience "on the deathbed" which was mentioned in tiss episode 153 at around 1:00:00

Varun asking the right questions by consistently going "baap kaha hai?!" 😂
Never thought relatives and weird animal parents would be in the same sentence..

Absence of Neville felt like the day when my Maths teacher took leave.

The moment when Adar says, "Abey woh Spider-Man nhi hai" 🤣🤣
The take away from the podcast: Varun has a crush on current anil kapoor (45:26) 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The koala poop behaviour is because of the gut microbes that they require to digest it. By feeding it to kids the kids then develop the required gut microbiome.
"Would you have gone and sat for torts?"
I didn't want to sit for torts even though this was my only option😭😂
42:22 Imagine ‘Emotional Atyachaar’ but with Sparrows. That’d be brilliant!
For the next tiss episode, it would be great if you guys could read the reddit stories related to relationships or "am I the asshole" thread and share your views on the stories.

I wish my nephew loves me as much as Varun loves his Maasi! ❤️
Incendies by Denis Villeneuve is one of greatest movies on relationships

We should all thank Varun’s Chacha for his propensity for Personal Stories on a variety of topics.
“Fed the wrong type of Cerelac.” - Kautuk really paints a picture with words.
Olivia coleman has her roots in west bengal. There is a yt video where she finds out.
We need a podcast on plants please ✌🏻✋🏻
35:24 Direct descendant, not ancestor.
Post credit scene was best..
24:06 Kautuk is Gretchen Wieners but instead of hair, it’s a beard. “That’s why his beard is so big: It’s full of secrets.”
What is going on in Aadar's background?!? And where was neville?
0:35 Neville spotted.
Lmao just kidding
17:10 bawa
One of 4 and one of 3! Huh! My mom is one of 6 my father is one of 7! Guess the number of cousins being everyone has 2-3 kids!!! 😅
35:50 It’s called ‘Who do you think you are?’. My favourite episode was Olivia Colman because she has ancestry in Eastern India.
😂😂😂😂😂 Weird animal traits
What an interesting episode indeed! No “I’ll tell you” and no “Yeah…” in the most dejected tone possible.
P.S. Symmetry ki jo watt LAGI hain 😂
