Heard this song when I visited the Philippines last year for the first time. I've since introduced many Irish friends to Bamboo :)
That's awesome. Bamboo also used to be the lead singer of the original Rivermaya band (prior to Rico Blanco taking over lead vocals when Bamboo left the band.)
Although they were more of an OPM- alternative band compared to here where it was more of a alternative-rock sub-genre of music.
Classic Rivermaya songs include "kisapmata," "panahon na naman," "himala," "214," and "ulan" among many others.

@@arbiborje5701 I agree. Nathan actually returned to Rivermaya in 2016 pa, so he has been an official member for 3 years (and counting!). Ira is a session guitarist for Rico Blanco and I think he has played for Unique Salonga. Vic is US-based na, but he still plays with different bands (although I think he has a day job). I do hope they would consider a reunion, not just OG Rivermaya but Bamboo the band as well. I think it's up to Bamboo and Nathan since they're still not in good terms.

This song,band,vocalist doesnt need to have a millions of views award or any stuff just to prove how good they are. They are Bamboo and will be forever the LEGENDARY rock icon Bamboo(band) and Bamboo the singer.
This song however, became an anthem when it was released. This single had the Bamboo band received received several awards. Nahakot nila yung awards dahit dito.

When I was younger I never really appreciated the lyrics of this song. Fast forward ~20 years later, I now live in the US. This song hits deep. I for real now appreciate the lyrics of this song. I am truly impressed by Bamboo for representing the Filipino grit culture around the world. Great song.

Oh boy, I am deeply moved by Bambo's performance.... This is an iconic song from an iconic rock star. His unique style and infectious energy seem to transport me to another world with each note he sings. The song itself especially the linethe line 'may agimata ang dugo ko' speaks to bravery and pride, resonating deeply with me as a Filipino. I feel that no one else can sing this song quite like him, as if it were tailor-made for his voice and spirit alone. I am spellbound every time he performs, indeed may agimat ka Bamboo. Way to go.
