This is a myth. You are never free from your abuser. He will continue to stalk her and the children. All it takes is one careless moment and those children can be kidnapped (even as adults!) and taken back to the UAE. This is what happened to Latifa and Shamsa. Safety from abusers in cases of domestic abuse is never permanent and never something you can take for granted. Princess Haya and her children will unfortunately have to deal with this for the rest of their lives.

Just one more year she said and that one year was made a living hell for me...i worked but my father phoned work constantly for progress reports...eventually i got away from that situation but not before being battered by my late father whom was drunk and had been listening behind doors and hearing mum and self laughing. He concocted a story where he claimed i was im fact arguing with my late mum and i was not... Whilst he slept off whisky chasers as he was an ex army retired man, pensioned off by the army...mum helped me pack my belongings to move out and in with a friend. She i recall cried her eyes out, not wanting me to leave the family fold but 11-18 is imprisonment enough and after losing all my teen years i required freedom...thats how i left home...without any real security or love...So for anyone thinking ive had a brilliant and PRIVELLEDGED lifestyle they need to think again...
Freedom is everything it is what my late father fought in second world war to achieve from nazi occupied Germany..so thank god we won the war because it isnt worth my even imagining what life would have been like had we lost! Listen, when that stuff happened with his daughters, I think that woman saw an opportunity to file for a divorce. She was already having an affair and wanted to leave. Common sense people. Princess Haya entered a marriage with this old man knowing he was polygamous so how is he cheating? She already found other wives before her. Polygamy may not be a recognised way of life everywhere but it is so in their countries and she had no problem with it. If she left him and flew to England because she no longer wanted to be married then she could have done the same when her father allegedly forced her to marry the old man, she could have disobeyed. Bottomline is , culture and religion differences is difficult to co-exists in one home , especially if it involves a royalty. Royals represents not only their countries , but the honor of their culture , tradition and religion . They wont give-up , a westener should give-up , they are very much aware of this at the very beginning of relationship , even before marriage .
