Ok I can absolutely make them longer!! I'm always worried since I can answer these questions all day lol. Didn't want to keep rambling if it was annoying people!
Could you pretty please make a video telling us how you got your business going! I would greatly appreciate it or at least the resources you used to get started!! Awesome video as always
Hello! I have been watching your videos for a little while and I love how informative they are. I am using ceripil hardwax (blue& the rose) which would you recommend to use for Brazilian wax? Also, I know you've talked about not wanting to show how to Brazilian, and I dont blame you.. lol ! What if you used a mannequin? If not it's okay, I still love your videos!
Actually, that's not a bad idea! I might have to look into that... and I've never used the rose from Cirepil! The blue is great though. I'm also coming out with my own brand of hard wax, Mermaid Wax! Make sure you enter your email on the www.MermaidWax.com site so you'll be first in line to buy, if you're interested. I'll limit sales at first with a password you can only get if I have your email. It's going to take me time to ramp up production to meet demand. I want my loyal people to have first opportunity to get the wax. Thank you for being a subscriber!
Ask and you shall receive. I just uploaded some, maybe not the best so I'll have more this week. Search Mermaid Wax in UA-cam, or Mermaid Glitter Wax! Thank you!!
Hi there! I also used to work at European Wax Center but as a GSA (now I'm an Esthetician) and I also had problems with them as well, management wasn't the best and the pay wasn't the best either. However, you said the products didn't work, I can agree but also disagree. Their line of scrubs and lotions that were scented were ehh, but their ingrown hair wipes were LIFE CHANGING for me! I never really enjoyed the serum or the brow products, but I did like the brow powder, it was nice but the shade range was a bit strange. I have been contacted by my district manager about working for them again and I just don't know, I feel like I have had so much experience waxing already (been doing it for three years) that I don't know if I need a low wage job doing something I already know I'm good at and could be paid more somewhere else.
Their brow powder was life!! I loved it lol. I must have left before they came out with the ingrown hair wipes because I have never heard of those! Girl, do your own thing. You can make so much more money and be able to really enjoy your craft again!
Thanks a lot for your bikini waxing procedure. I do it similarly but it’s quite difficult for me to do it all with hard wax because on the top part, at the start of the bikini waxing, I don’t have any clear space to lay out the end rounded part of the first strip so I usually use soft wax on the half top part and switch to hard wax on the other parts. Could you share with us please how to do the top part with hard wax too? Thanks a lot. 😘
i have super thick hair & went to ewc for a full leg & brazilian for the first time ever after shaving for years & they rushed me out in an hour, i walked out with a bunch of long hairs still on my legs. they offered me a free touch up, but it had to be with the same woman who did it the first time & to be honest i wasn't quite fond of her. i'm contemplating on driving to austin to get the job done right so i won't have to worry about getting a touch up
Ehh I really don't like when they trim. A lot of people will trim to much and then ruin the whole thing! If the hair is SUPER long, I will trim a little myself. But normally I'll just slap the wax on there and make sure to pull as hard as I can!
I'm super interested in waxing my legs, particularly my thighs because that hair is so dang fine that often even a razor doesn't do much. However, from years of shaving anyway I already have tons of those tiny little bumps all over my legs which I assume are ingrown hairs. What would you recommend for getting those up? Will regular exfoliating eventually smooth the skin and get them all gone?
I'm using the blue starpil wax, I'm preping, my wax doesn't break when I pull, so it very frustrating when I wax my legs and hair doesn't come off, or not a lot of it. My hair is thin so I'm wondering if that's what i need to take into consideration. What should I be using instead?
I use hard wax that I bought from nouchwax because they had a set and everything. But the wax does not take off the little hairs or semi big hairs from the face. It works great for legs but not really well for the face and eyebrows. Which one do you recommend for the eyebrows and face?
"Hot" clients and wax not setting during brazillian. I have only had this happen twice. I'm still new to this (I've done probably 20?) and can't figure out whats going wrong. 1, how do I prevent this? 2, what to do if this happens?! I kept my cool for the client, but OMG! Not fun for anyone!
Ugh that sucks! There's really no way to prevent it unless you can turn the temp down in your room. This is when baby powder is your best friend! Put some on before the wax strip and if needed you can even put a little bit on top the wax to help it set faster. I always have a little bit on powder on my table (from brushing it off my client while prepping their skin) so I will dab my hand in it and brush a little on top of the wax. Works like a charm! I'll make a video for you!
Hi! I’m really worried about getting waxed for the first time I don’t know whether to get bikini line or a Brazilian wax done. I’m going on holiday soon what would you recommend to get done for my first time.
Hello! If you are going on vacation soon, at least get 2 waxes in before you leave! That way it gives your skin/hair time to adjust. I highly recommend a Brazilian, just ensure the place you go to is using hard wax :)
Hi there, I'm trying to decide which starpil wax to get for my facial hair, right now I'm thinking either pink or honey. Which one would you recommend? Thanks so much!
Hi! I have gotten a lot of waxes in the past but this one became prickly like I shaved and I wonder why? I also know that my hair was long enough. What can I do to not make the hairs prickly? Is it me or the waxer?
Hi Kristen, thank you for all ur videos😄 they help me A LOT.. I have some questions.. 1. What do you think about numbing spray/cream before waxing 2. The gigi wax is big no, but what do you think about there post and pre products? (If you know ofcourse) 3. How do you manage extremly long hair? Do you recommend trimming? Thq for Answer in advance.. Love all the way from Curaçao.. (also sorry but im not so good with english, but I'll try lol😩😂😙)
Hello! I've never tried numbing cream... only have one client that uses it and she loves it! I actually like Gigi's pre and post care products! Some long hair I will trim, but mostly I don't. Trimming causes little hairs to go all over and that grosses me out lol. I just slap the wax on there and rip that sucker out!
I’m new to waxing. I’ve been practicing on my boyfriend. I prep the skin, and use post epil and hair puller spray after waxing. (Starpil) I also use starpil wax. But every time I wax him he breaks out in red bumps all over the entire area the next day and they stay for a long time. I went and got a Brazilian from a lady who used a wax I didn’t know of and the same thing happened to me. Is it the first time wax that makes you break out or am I doing something terribly wrong? I’m a licensed cosmetologist so I’m having to learn the entire hard wax experience on my own. 😣
You must try PFB Vanish for after wax care. I made a video here; ua-cam.com/video/2XD5BRpPgbA/v-deo.html and in the notes below there's a link to their page. I'm not getting paid or anything just the best stuff I've found so far. My Fiancé uses it right after he shaves, like immediately. Beware, it's like rubbing alcohol on an open wound. So if you put it on right after it will sting like Hexx! However, you can also wait a couple hours then put on. And then keep applying twice a day for a few days. That stuff is like magic, I swear by it! Oh if you wanted to buy my wax make sure you've added your email here: www.mermaidwax.com if you haven't already. The first run is limited and we'll likely sell out first day. We'll open up pre-ordering in 5-10 days so if I have your email I send you the password to enter site and order.
Hey girl email me directly @ Kristen@MermaidWax.com so I can get your info and get the wax to you before it sells out. I won't have it for ~8 weeks still, but my girls will be first to get it! I want to be sure you're first. I'll explain more to you in direct email. Please please thanks!
honestly i wouldn't mind if these q&as were longer i just love watching you talk, your voice is so soothing and you have beautiful eyes LOL

Yes! I will lay a strip across the top and curve the end slightly up so it's not ending at a place that has hair. Hope that helps!
HK Wax Center - Austin Arbor Yes definitely it helps. I was thinking along the same lines so great to have your confirmation. 👍

That's the problem with EWC. They are so worried about time and getting as many clients in there as possible. I'm so sorry that happened!
For first time Brazilian waxes if the person hasn’t shaved before do you recommend the client to trim the hair prior to the appointment?
Ehh I really don't like when they trim. A lot of people will trim to much and then ruin the whole thing! If the hair is SUPER long, I will trim a little myself. But normally I'll just slap the wax on there and make sure to pull as hard as I can!

Hi! How often do you recommend your clients exfoliate? And should they be exfoliating right before their wax? Thanks!
Yes they should exfoliate right before! Honestly, every client is different. Normally about 2-3 times a week works though.
I love u!!!!! Your vids have helped me tremendously ❤️❤️❤️
Aw I love you too!!! Thank you!

Does the hair length matter when waxing?
Yes it should be about the length of a grain of rice
