Three generations of my family worked here. This is the old Bethel Mill, near Briggs Memorial Park in Ashaway, Rhode Island. I worked there when it was Thames River tube company. My late father Robert S. Hirst and late grandfather James A. Hirst worked there when it was Stillwater Worsted. I had at least one other relative work there my uncle William H. "Artie" Hirst. .
