Hello, India. I've been watching assorted "reaction" videos for about a year or so and you're my favorite reactor. I was just wondering if you do requests? Like do any of your viewers/subscribers ever suggest songs for you to view & react to, and do you ever make any reaction videos of their suggestions?

I was a stagehand for 30 years working over 200 shows a year. This song brings a tear to the eye of every stagehand and roady working 20 hour days, year after year to make shows possible. Thanks Jackson Browne, we truly appreciate that you took the time!

I was a stagehand (go IATSE!), too, so while I do get choked up about it, as well, I have to admit, that many of us stagehands/roadies really do mind staying for some of those extra encores. Sheesh an 18 truck load out makes some of us want to get started when we show up for the call (or if we've done the "in" and the show already}. We would like to get out of there, especially if I have an early load in the next day.

      Dear ron olson,
I was a teenager in the 60s. I remember a discussion a group of us had back in the late 80s.
We reached a consensus that the 60s lasted from around 1958 until about 1975. The amount of incredible music, whether it came from Liverpool, London, Dublin, Holland, New York, Philadelphia, Detroit , Chicago, Memphis, Muscle Shoals, L.A. or Canada kept us glued to the radio, studying album liner notes, participating in fan clubs and following our favorite bands around the country.
By the late 80s we had basically stopped listening to radio because there was nothing that interested us anymore. The “oldies” stations played a very restricted playlist of perhaps 500 songs and that got to be frustrating because we knew that there was so much more available out there.
I was three weeks short of my 15th birthday when I witnessed the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show in February of 1964. We were all blown away.

I hear you. The greatest music and musicians in history! I went to so many concerts in my teens and twenties. I went to a Monsters Of Rock in Germany in 87 where Deep Purple was the headline band. Helloween, Cinderella, Ratt, Dio, Metallica and Deep Purple just killed it. I regret I never saw Jackson Browne though. One of very few artists I didn't see that I would have loved to see live Joe Walsh, Eagles, ZZ Top, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, just DAMN that was so fantastic. Too many bands that were just killer awesome live. Oh, BTO killed it on their We're An American Band tour.

Saw him in ‘83. This was played as the last encore.
He came out alone, sat down and started playing. One by one the rest of the band joined in.
After a terrific concert of emotional ups and downs, this number had the crowd cheering, singing along, and choking up all at the same time.

He is rumored to have play the piano up to like 6 hours a day. Practice writing pure enjoyment? You don't do that unless you love to play. That line "but the only time that seems too short is the time we get to play." That gets me. He reaches the top with his piano, but it's now packed up and he has hours of touring where he can't touch those keyes. I love that. That longing for his love, his piano.

If I had to guess I say it' I'd say it's used more in country music. My first boyfriend went to that high school. I definitely remember Jackson.....yes indeed. I have had a lifelong love of his music and have fortunately seen him several times live. David Lindley is going to be at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano....Well worth seeing if you can. He and Jackson have worked together forever. India.......check out These Days.......a song Jackson wrote when he was 15 or 16. He is a special human being....an old soul. And I have to mention all the wonderful work he has done for the environment over the years. I could go on forever. I'm sitting here looking at a coffee mug with his picture on it....a gift from my best friend who knows I love him. Saw him about 3 years ago in Washington and hope to catch him again soon. Listen to his stuff...so heartfelt, so poignant. OK I'm going to stop now.....lol.

Jackson Browne wrote some of the most heartfelt and heart wrenching songs ever. Just cuts right through me and leaves me in a puddle. The albums Late For The Sky, The Pretender, Saturate Before Using were all superb.
Doctor My Eyes was a hit song that is a good example.

The Loadout and Stay will catch you somewhere between laughter and tears- tears because of howhard touring is, away from home, long days, very little true comfort, hard work and no rest, and laughter because in the end, the music is what they do it for- the excitement and thebeauty. And the REAL truth-- we just want to play a little bit longer, share this wonder, feed on the excitement of the crowd. And meanwhile, the excellence of the musicians, all of them, and the little giggle of the guy singing falsetto. J ackson, of course, used this as a closing number often, or a curtain call. I lived that roadie life for a short time, even before he did this, and a lifetime later, I still miss it. It's enough that this song can send you out into the night after the show, satisfied and happy.

Jackson Browne has always been one of my all time favorite singer songwriters. My parents took me to see him live for the 1st time when I was 11 years old. My parents took me to see him last summer for my 16th birthday at the bethel woods amphitheater. The opening act cancelled right before the show, so he surprised everyone and opened for himself that night and played “you love the thunder” in the opening set. Then he played his regular set for about 2 hours. He came back onstage for an encore and closed the show with The Load Out and Stay. I’ll never forget it.

    My favorite by Jackson Browne!!
I love watching your face when you get into a song, India! You're definitely an old soul who obviously appreciates the great old songs!
By the way, "Stay" was made famous in 1960 by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs.
P.S. - As soon as I saw this pop up on my feed, I knew you were gonna love it!

India, my late husband seemed to know everything about the artists that made the music we both loved. I heard a tune on The Pretender that made me cry. Hubby said of course it’s sad, his wife committed suicide back stage while he was onstage. That really shook me up...I had such strong feeling about Jackson Brown after that. My husband wasn’t prone to lying, he was a real stand up guy. RIP Christopher, my belloved😪

Its so cool that some of you younger people are hearing some of the most timeless music ever made. Jackson Browne wrote songs for groups like the Eagles and songs that are super powerful that are rarely heard. Listen to For a Dancer if you can.

I was 17 during this time. The 70's were just a great time for a kid to grow up. Great music, beautiful girls, much more freedom for young people. Hitch hiking everywhere, mowing lawns for extra pocket money, running around barefoot, crashing at friends houses, the muscle cars blasting great music, and great television...The Midnight Special, SNL when it used to actually be funny...kids today couldn't even imagine or fathom having that kind of fun.
