Synopsis:
Running away from home cant keep a couple together. A signed paper cant keep a couple together. Love can. While for most Love Stories, marriage is the goal, the fact remains that marriage is just the beginning.
Saathiya continues on, from where most Love Stories end. From the infatuation stage when a couple thinks they are in love right through to when a couple discovers the true meaning of love. The best part of the song is from 2:16 to 3:00... The same part comes in the beginning too.. the most loveliest is this which is the high light and this is the one which makes everyone hear song again and again both in hindi and tamil.. in tamil , singer Srinivas has sung it.... Once Srinivas told that "ARR told me to sing it in a bold voice. ARR mentioned a popular and most experienced singer voice and told me to sing on such a bold way.. "

I’m a Telugu guy, watched this movie as many times in Tamil as I did in Telugu. Just loved this movie as a college student and the energy and optimism that the character provides suggesting that today’s youth, though they make mistakes in a hurry, have the ability to rectify them.
When I read the news that it was to begin remade in Hindi, I was concerned that the nativity and quality might miss. But I’m glad it turned out very well in Hindi too. Rani and Vivek were very good! This song in Hindi is awesome!!

I’m Telugu guy, and I have no special inclination towards any particular language. I have been a fan of Rani Mukherjee even before Alai Payude was released (courtesy Ghulam and KKHH), but original Tamil version is a shade better…including the leading lady’s performance which is Shalini. That could be because the script suited the nativity requirement…
However, when I came to know that this movie was to be remade in Hindi, I was a bit worried because the original beauty is lost in remakes. But credit to Vivek Obroi and Rani Mukherjee, they too did amazing job!!

2:11 Saree scene beautifully shot. They have a similar scene in the original one at 3:58, but that one looks way more beautiful. In fact, the visuals in the original song are so tastefully done, and the chemistry in the original one oh my god, this one just doesn’t come close despite being shot nicely in itself. In fact, I recently watched the original tamil version movie for the first time, almost two decades after having first watched Saathiya, and man that one is notches above this one, despite this one being phenomenally good in itself. The acting, chemistry, the feel on the whole in the tamil one is just magical. I know a lot of people use the term magical to describe the tamil version, once you watch it, you actually know why. And I say this as a thorough bred Punjabi who has no idea of tamil, tamil cinema or tamil life, this was my first tamil movie, but it was just ❤️. Oh and special credits to Maddy😍, he is just🔥in the movie, you just can’t stop looking at him!🙈

This composition is soooo beautiful.. Mellow and in Hindi the lyrics by Gulzar takes it to just another level. Thank you Gulzar Saab for not giving up. Though I actually love the original movie and songs a lot more. I heard it from the day it was released. My Gujarati cassette compiler insisted I (a mumbaiya bong) hear it and... i have never stopped listening ever since. Even after the Hindi was released later. And Vairamuthu is a legend. Combined with Rehman an unforgettable treat for the ears yearning for good sound of music and words. Thanks to all who created these marvels.
