everyone saying Matt is not good... I really like his voice, he has adapted to his role in Three Days Grace and is performing incredibly well. And I know Adam's voice was way more suitable for this song, but Matt's voice brings out something different through it. If Three Days Grace ever comes here in Finland, I would most certainly go see them, no matter what it costs!
3 days grace was the type of band that didnt seem to matter what they released you would listen to it. Adam not only wrote a ton of their songs in rehab but his unique voice is not easily replaceable. Matts voice literally takes the emotion out of this song. Just like Blink 182, another good thing that didn't last.
Matt is great, his only problem is breathing control, he need to miss some lyrics to take breath, in this performances the only thing that is terrible is the fact that they don't use a second guitar, this songs needs the back guitar, they could pay for a tour member for that...

Oh my god, if it wasn't Adam being the god that he is, and was never in the band I'm sure everyone would fucking love Matt. It irritates me how people aren't appreciating him at all.. First, he has the courage to step into a band that had such loyal fans to their lead singer. Matt is the absolute perfect fit ! He grew up along side Brad ! & co wrote songs with the band, yes I can admit in some songs his vocals are a bit rough but meeting Matt and seeing him live, it doesn't even matter. I admire this man so fucking much.
Well he did have his own band prior to taking over for Adam and he grew up with Adam around too not just Brad it was a great opportunity for him but I don't know about courage his brother probably told him Adam left we need you get on stage and that was that. This is one of Adams best known songs though so of course many people will prefer the original version.
Matt Walst sounds great here, he is really a talented live singer. I have so much respect :) He may not have that original sound but he is very musically talented to say the least :)
Its not even about that. This sounds insanely unrehearsed. During the verses he sounds like hes struggling with the tempo and general vocals of thr song. He also has next to no grunge in his vocals which is a huge deal on this track.

Matt's no Adam, but he's not doing too badly. Painkiller and I Am Machine are pretty good in my opinion. And while he doesn't have some of Adam's vocal inflections when singing, the song still sounds decent. So I guess I'll stick around for a bit longer with Three Days Grace, see where it goes from here. I am keeping an eye on Saint Asonia though too.
Painkiller is just a low blow for them seeing as how they released it after Adam left and Adam was addicted to painkillers hence, Animal I Have Become and Pain.
I will argue that on the album Human Matt is way better vocalist than Adam. Adam could get a little grainy at times. Matt is clear and hits every note to perfection. I will also argue Human is their best all around album.
Yeah, Human was a good album, and one I listen to semi regularly. Though I still listen to One X out of nostalgia, as it was the first Three Days Grace album I bought.

I think that people that says that Matt can't sing the songs the same need to understand that MATT ISN'T ADAM they obviously gonna sound different because they are not the same person, but it doesn't mean that Matt can't sing well. The both of them are good singers, but that doesn't mean that they have the same voice, if they have the same voice they would be the same person
Na minha opinião não podiam ter escolhido um vocalista melhor pra substituir o Adam, claro que não é tão bom quanto o Adam, mais gosto muito do vocal do Matt, principalmente em World so cold, chalk outline, i have everything about you, home. Também gostei do human race o álbum tá com uma pegada diferente, gostei de todas as músicas do álbum, a única coisa que não gostei muito é que em algumas músicas (estúdio) tem muito efeito na voz do Matt.

I think that people that says that Matt can't sing the songs the same need to understand that MATT ISN'T ADAM they obviously gonna sound different because they are not the same person, but it doesn't mean that Matt can't sing well. The both of them are good singers, but that doesn't mean that they have the same voice, if they have the same voice they would be the same person
Na minha opinião não podiam ter escolhido um vocalista melhor pra substituir o Adam, claro que não é tão bom quanto o Adam, mais gosto muito do vocal do Matt, principalmente em World so cold, chalk outline, i have everything about you, home. Também gostei do human race o álbum tá com uma pegada diferente, gostei de todas as músicas do álbum, a única coisa que não gostei muito é que em algumas músicas (estúdio) tem muito efeito na voz do Matt.
Ele saiu da banda em janeiro de 2013, ele disse que estava com problemas de saúde. Agora ele esta em carreira solo.

Narita Abreu sim também gosto muito do vocal do Matt, isso que eu disse é minha opinião o Adam é meu vocalista preferido junto com o chester, sempre gostei muito do Matt, quando ele entrou na banda todos os vídeos do 3dg tinha gente falando mau do Matt, falando que cantava mau, ficavam pedindo pro Adam voltar, nunca concordei com isso, sempre achei ele um vocalista muito bom, gosto de algumas músicas do my darkest day, e afinal o Adam saiu por vontade própria, não sei porque tem gente que tem tanto ódio pelo Matt, ele está fazendo um trabalho muito bom, eu gostei do human race, tanto o Matt quanto o Adam são excelentes vocalistas, cada um no seu estilo, um não é melhor que o outro, são apenas diferentes.

If Matt had been the singer right from the start nobody would be complaining. He’s a great singer and he’s done an amazing job of adapting to the older songs after it was thrown on him very last minute. Anyone who hates Matt simply because he’s not Adam, go listen to Saint Asonia instead

I must admit that Matt is not cut out for this song, but he has made many other beautiful songs with his fitting voice. of course it wouldn't be the same if you are used to the same voice singing this song over and over and suddenly its replaced. And of course people don't all sing/sound the same, I still enjoy them both. Three Days Grace and Saint Asonia.

I always thought it was a rhetorical question as in he doesn't. I like to think some people mean the things they say I don't say I hate people casually.
