If you're a backer and haven't received this yet, please read QML's press release updates here: www.qmlogistics.com/blacklist/ In essence, QML is the company that has all the physical miniatures sitting in a warehouse in the US. During the pandemic, the world experienced a shipping crisis(which is honestly still not completely over), and overseas shipping costs rose tremendously. Since the shipment went to QML, they paid they costly shipping bill, and Blacklist have not paid them because they don't have the funds. And because Blacklist hasn't settled their accounts with them, QML has not sent the minis out to the individual backers. As of the latest update per the writing of this comment, QML and Blacklist seems to have come to an agreement that lets individual backers pay "their part" of the extra shipping cost directly to QML to receive their minis. The exact details of how this will work is something the two companies seems to still be working out.
You have no idea how good it is to hear this. I backed this project and have yet to receive the miniatures. It's been over two years and I've made attempts to contact BLG, QML, and Kickstarter with no response. Thank you for having a link to actually useful information!
@@Gloomwalker08 It's been quite the situation! Glad I could be of some small help, and I've got my fingers crossed this whole thing works itself out soon for you and the rest of the people affected! :)
The construct can also be used as an adamantine golem proxy from pathfinder it's probably a size smaller if they're large like most D&D golems anyways.
Nice. Still waiting on mine to make it on the final shipment from the warehouse in the States. I can definitely use the bugbears, gnolls, elementals, and ghouls. I have a couple bugbears, but none of the others. The ghouls should be pretty quick paint jobs to toss on the table for an encounter shortly after I receive them.
Yeah, lots of cool stuff in this set. I know you guys over in the US have been waiting for some time, but it's gonna be worth the wait! I've actually gotten around to painting a lot from this set during the past ten days actually, getting more than 70 minis(all creatures) done in that time. (No ghouls yet, but they're primed and ready for some paint!) Ghosts, elementals, dire bear, snakes, werewolves, gargoyles, imps, wolves, spiders, beetles, oozes... They all paint up quite easily! :D Hopring you get yours as soon as they start shipping it out! :D
@@TheCreativeKobold Will you be posting a video of some of the finished products? I'm still sitting on a hundred or so unpainted miniatures at this time, so I'm not too pained over not getting my set yet.
The details on the miniatures appear more rounded and softer than I was anticipating from the early renders on the backer page. Additionally, I see the plastic is very shiny. How well do you think this plastic takes paint? Are the features conducive to thicker/faster paint jobs similar to Wizkids or similar models?
Yeah, since the renders are of the 3D models used to make the molds, the final products tends to lose some level of detail like that. While I personally was aware that this would happen, they could perhaps have shown examples of minis they've made for previous kickstarters(for example Altar Quest) to show the final product quality. But overall, it's within the expected loss of detail - at least for me, personally. Due to life circumstances I've had very little time to paint lately, but I did paint up the mummies very quickly: Just Citadel Zandri Dust spray primer and Agrax Earthshade or Nuln Oil(can't remember atm), and a black for the base, plus eye and mouth detail. The minis have taken the paint well, even after seeing some use - and even being dropped on the floor and full weight stepped on. (I though for sure I broke that mini, but I can't differentiate it from the other four that I didn't step on!) Either way, those took minutes to paint, but look pretty good! I'm a fan of not spending too much time on every mini myself(I'd never get anything done if I was!), and these seem to be completely fine for that sort of paint job! :)
With shiny plastic miniatures in general you can wash them with dish soap and water before you paint them. Be sure to wait until they are dry. It made a diffrence for me.
@@TheCreativeKobold I'm seriously considering backing the 2nd fantasy series(since I missed the first wave), the value you get from these sets is just too good.I'm going to keep a close eye on their kickstarter profile pages

Yeah, it definitely would work well together with it. But as you mention, it's quite a bit smaller. Medium sized. ;)
