This was very interesting and informative. Thanks for documenting it and sharing so we could learn. I’ve been meaning to check into shipping my van, similar to yours, to Kauai, Hawaii. If I do, I’ll be rewatching this video!
Hi Donna! I love that you recognized, and even have the same pendant. The meaning of dragonfly resonates strongly for me, “In almost every part of the world, the Dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life.” This is what the Blue Wonder Lady channel is all about ❤️🙏😁 Thank you for watching!!!
Oh please tell us what it cost you to ship it! We have shipped cars previously but always with an auto transport company (Horeseless Carriage), never with a contractor. My mouth fell open when I saw you hand it over to these two guys with a flat bed! Do they keep in contact with you as they are traveling? I would have to put a transponder on my van to make sure they aren’t taking off for Mexico!! 😂. So happy for you that it was a smooth transport and I need to get their information. We have six cars that we are going to move from Atlanta to New England and this might save us some money. (Although I don’t know how my husband would feel about the cars being out in the elements). I have traveled from Florida to Lake Tahoe twice on my own and it is a very long five days, so I am thrilled that this worked for you. My only other question is about insurance, since it is not only a vehicle but also your home. If it was in an accident and totally lost in a fire, how do you recover cost of vehicle plus everything inside? Do you purchase extra insurance for that? Anyway, I am thrilled for you that this worked out and I will definitely be inquiring about this service! Thanks for a great video and this important info!!
Hi Peg, I am so glad this is a helpful video for you. Great questions! I used East Auto Ship as the broker and Roamly for insurance. The carrier is insured. It definitely felt brave of me to entrust my home to strangers, but the broker was very reassuring and Igor stayed in touch with me the entire time. Being freed of the stress of driving was SUCH an incredible feeling and it gave me lots more time to edit videos and work my day job 😁. Let me know if you have any other questions ❤️❤️
Very informative, thank you! Is your van a crew van? Like does it have a row of seats behind the driver and a cargo area behind that? And it’s a mid-heigh roof, right? May I ask how tall you are?
Hi Rose, I am glad you found the shipping video helpful. My van is not a crew van, it is a mid-height roof, and I am 5’6” : )))) Let me know if other questions come to mind. Thanks for watching!
Hi Julie, The cost will depend on several factors, such as the distance, the number of bids, the size and weight of your vehicle, and how out of the way or central the pickup and drop off location are. The cost for me was about the same as what gas, time off of work, wear and tear, chiropractic treatments typical when I drive long distances, and risk of an accident due to weather and other road conditions would have added up to. It was also too cold to sleep in the van for what would have been the first three days, so there would have been hotel costs. That is a good way to figure it. It was $1900. I hope that is helpful. Thanks for watching and asking!
Thanks I think your option is a great choice for the wintertime in the northeast to get out west….you got me thinking about a new Plan B, from New York….where first snow today on February 28!
Why would she be transported, not level? It's terrible for your vehicle and not exactly aerodynamic. How many other vehicles were they planning to add to that rig? I'd want to do a lot of background checking on the truckers delivering my rig. Have a signed contract and understand the payment situation up front. So how much did it cost? It would be a stress fest for me, like leaving yourchild with a baby sitter for a week.
Hi Lori, It was stressful, however I used a highly reputable broker and had a contract. The van is perfectly fine and it was sooooooo worth it. Thanks for your concern though.

I really like that side window!
Makes a world of difference! It opens manually, so no need to turn the car on every time you use propane, etc. I love it.
Thanks for sharing this information, could you let us know the actual cost of the shipping? Best wishes, Julie
