- while we attempt to figure out...whatever this is lol. Drums and bass doing cool stuff pianos cannot lol, but we're still gonna try hahaha, with a little inspo from 90s grunge and industrial metal lol. Almost done, just two more sections to go, the next episode will be the toughest lol
Will be adding each of these little vids to this playlist: • Anatomy of a Piano Arr...
That’s so sick, this breakdown actually gave me tips on how to arrange for piano for efficiently!
haha did it?? glad to hear lol, thanks so much man!!!! 😍😍😍😍
Sooo good. The parallel 5ths sound so good. I love seeing how you tackle these rhythms and bring that percussive energy on piano.
you're too kind kmads, thanks so much girl!!!!
Looove it!! ❤❤❤
Thank you!!
Woh! That did sound difficult. Well done, nonetheless!
HAHA thank you my friend!!!!❤❤❤❤
@@purpleschala You're very welcome!
SO COOL
thanks!
Nailed it, such great work
thank you!!! that's very kind of you haha
How do you handle the drums when arranging for piano? In my amateur ears, there’s so much to work out with the other instruments that I can’t even really process how the drums could translate to the piano.
Jen this is such a great question and I'm so glad you asked it!!!
so cool to watch you transcribe the music to piano
thank you Shirayasha, for watching!! it means a lot!!!
Man, I have so far to go but you're method is flawless. Can't wait to hear how this turns out.
Oh man I don’t know about flawless I still have a long way to go also 😭😭😭 but thank you so much!!!!
These insights are gold. Thank you for doing this!
thank you so much for watching!!! I hope it's helpful!!!!!
Such a cool video as usual, I'm loving every step of this process! Which headphones are you using?
thanks so much man!! Sennheiser HD 560s, I needed something open back, flat response for mixing/mastering and all that!
@purpleschala that explains why they look so famiar!! I literally just got the Sennheiser 6xx maybe a month or two ago, and I've been loving them!
I wasn’t expecting to hear Nirvana in the middle of this…lol.
And yeah parallel 5ths might be bad voice leading for some types of music, but it can result in really cool effects. It’s kind of like amplifying a harmonic.
Alice in Chains! Grunge isn't a monolith lmao!!!! But yes, you put it PERFECTLY, amplifying a harmonic, love that!!! Even more so since distortion on electric guitars ring those overtones amidst all the crunch hahaha
Oh no!! 🤦🤦🤦 LOL I can’t believe I made that mistake, since I listened to a lot of Alice In Chains on repeat growing up…whoops!
@@MarcPlaysPiano LMAO FROM A FELLOW ALICE IN CHAINS FAN, FOR SHAME lol jk
This series is just getting better and better... And Alice in Chains Would is such a cool song 🔥
ah thank you so much for watching!! AND YES ALICE IN CHAINS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS EVER a grunge powerhouse, so much great musicianship...still so sad about Layne's untimely death, a terrible loss
@@purpleschala Imagine a full mix tape of all these musical references and tastes, going from Mozart, Chopin and Liszt to Michiro Yamane, Hitoshi Sakimoto and Kow Otani and then jumping to some Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam, going back and forth into some bebop and hardbop jazz (why not?) and so on and so on all night long ✨
@@guilhermeoutro6083 lol you’re quite literally hitting all my absolute favorite genres and composers/artists in music, ever, with that list
@@purpleschala Aahh, I knew it! We have an excellent musical taste, of course 😸❤
man this interlude sounds so sick the way you play it!
HAHAHA thanks that means a lot!!!
