Damn near Pixar quality. This makes me want to see a Finding Nemo spinoff that takes place in the cretaceous.

I think we should get a Paleontology documentary movie or show for children. Like, explaining how life first formed and advanced.
@@cemilhan725 Now that is a good idea

We need more animated features about dinosaurs and their relatives (marine reptiles and pterosaurs)
I need a animation about an azdarchid chasing small Dino’s
And sauropods
Don't forget the other archosaur cousin: the crocodillians, who were much more varied during the time of the dinosaurs, especially in the Triassic. Incidentally we are living in the only time in history since the Triassic that there is no primarily land dwelling crocodilian predator anywhere on Earth. All that are left are the aquatic crocodiles, but that was by no means their only lineage.
Last species of those died out like, 10k years ago, fairly recently actually; so recent humans might have even seen them.
Literally!! The only animated show about dinosaurs and their marine relatives is Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous which is great, but it would be even cooler if there was more!! Plus, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous doesn’t have much marine relative dinosaur life.
Dinosaurs really aren't relaated to marine reptiles such as mosasaur or pliosaurs. Mosasaurs were essentially just massive sea lizards, and pliosaurs closest living relatives are sea turtles.

Qui Gon Jin was right
What I like about this is that at the beginning, our cute little fish surprises and devours a cute little crab. The prey protagonist may be cute and scared, but they can be predators too. It also really ties into the "There's always a bigger fish" symbolism.
I freaking knew it!!! I didn't expect the fish to be eaten but I knew something bigger would show up
There’s always a bigger fish-quigon jinn
The eye at the end is another mosasaurus they were supposedly different sizes

Fun fact the mosasaurus has been known to prey on it's own kind

This was very neat animation, would be cool to see a continuation of it with the larger one chasing and catching the smaller mosasaurs like the smaller mosasaurs caught the fish
It's literally the same style as Finding Nemo.
Idk I think the video ending mad the scene more intense

Ayo, giant sea creatures in deep, dark ocean are one of my biggest fears, so thanks for that humongous eye opening at the end, made me audibly gulp.

Props to the guy who made the right decision to add Godzilla at the end.
Mosasaurus just spent more energy chasing that fish than what it gained eating it

On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 9. I can imagine this being a complete animated documentary, if not a complete one or two hour movie.
Mosa going after that fish is like a human soending an hour chasing a fly around the house because of hunger
You don't do that? You can get in shape and get yourself a nice tasty fly in one clean activity.

Really creative and enjoyable. Sounds straight out of a time where prehistoric beings were more about what your imagination could turn them into (the original portraying of those) instead of what happens nowadays: people picking at each other regarding "accuracy" of an animal we described only with two teeth.
1:38 You know what they say, "There's always a bigger fish."
The design for the Mosasaurus reminds me of the art style in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
Godzilla said "your not that guy"
Man I love the foreshadowing when the mosasaurus gets caught in the rib cage of a much bigger creature than it
That was creepy at the end
I love how this expresses how the mosasaurs had so emptied the oceans they were down to chasing snacks. Note all the dead mosasaurs.
Excellent, fine work there :)
Pixar could still make movies just approaching this kind of quality..... and then Disney would ruin it. Thanks for proving there are talented artists out there who deserve far more screen time than the corporate leeches..... ;)

I’m not a big fan of how a mosasaur would go after a small little fish, which is nothing it’s practically going to give him barely any calories or nutrients that’s gonna be nothing. Seriously wasting your energy to kill something smaller is this dumb you wanna go after something that’s around your size or a bit smaller but something small like that is a waste of calories and energy
Same

Or whales 💀
@@ivercingetorix1367 i’m hello it’s a small fish it doesn’t make sense for a laurel giant predator to go after one simple fish for whales that’s them they able to fill up on that shit but this is something different marine reptiles are different from whales Maureen reptile especially if it’s like a colossal giant we need to eat a lot of food a small little shark would barely do shit only a large spray item will satisfy hunger like a whale, or just any large dead animal in the ocean if it was a juvenile mosasaurus going after this fish which by the way for that one it’s too big to hunt that kind of food source it’s like a lion going after a mouse which, of course a mouse is practically just a Ritz cracker to a lion
@@ivercingetorix1367
For point 1: No matter how hungry a predator of that size is, they won’t ever devote the amount of energy and effort shown in the video for that lone, tiny bit of scrap meat, especially not for that long. And most predators try not to waste energy on purpose because not every hunt is going to be successful. Putting a ridiculous amount of energy for a single mouthful is what we call a waste of time and energy, two things a predator needs to reserve in spades.
For point 2: I am assuming you are talking about the baleen whales, aka the filter feeders. One, they don’t devote that much energy into chasing what they eat since what they eat can’t ever hope to outpace a whale, and two, the things they eat may be tiny, but in exchange, they eat TONS of those tiny things. Those whales will never devote that much effort into tracking down one f’ing krill.
Being a fish must be terrifying.
