I think the actual sound of the arc furnace going full blast would have been a hell of a lot better than the music in this video. I know because I've heard them live.
@@Engineer9736 the fact that the plant is so clean should be enough evidence that this is probably one of the first pours this place has seen. After a few years that whole place will be 50 shades of rust from top to bottom.
Brand new Melt Shop this, first charge for that scrap basket i'd say... I'm a Melter on an EAF, our new Melt Shop looked like this back 12 years ago when we first started production. The shop doesn't look this good for long lol...
Amazing how clean this mill was, seemed brand new and looked like they were melting practically outside with no bag house system. Then I pressed the drop down arrow for more information and seen this a facility iran, that explains it, there's probably no carbon emissions laws there. Just a small inkling from working in a melt shop.
I believe that the rods must be in contact with the metal in the bottom of the furnace. When lowered and fully arcing the rods bounce due to the magnitude of the voltage as it vaporizes the metal directly below the rods. It is literally the force of lightning as it heats up and melts the metal in the furnace.
This epic-sounding music definitely corresponds with what's going on in this video. Does anyone know what this music is, or where it's from, a movie, etc.? It's definitely dangerous work that can be life-changing in a heart-beat. Thanks for posting.
It's Black Blade by Two Steps From Hell, an American music production company. They make a ton of music for stuff like trailers and that sort of thing. Black Bade was originally in the Mass Effect 3 trailer: ua-cam.com/video/eBktyyaV9LY/v-deo.html

So on the Electrode arms and Furnace, is it the USA pronunciation: Fu*ks, or the European/ Scottish pronunciation: Foocks? You better melt you Fu*ks or You better melt you Fooks?🇺🇲🏴🤷♂️
People really need to get their dirtiest-minded friend, and run their logo/name past them to check for innuendos or similarities before producing or naming a machine/product. If your last name is Fucns, first off, my condolences for your misfortune, and second maybe call your business.... I dont know... Metal Inc or something. Not "Fuckins"
Although it would be pretty awesome to work with a Scott who said "The Fookin machine" every time he/she referred to it in their most awesome accent ever.

Oh, but it was amaaaaazing! The music was so hilariously dramatic! XD
Agree on the actual noise- i love it

@@tobylou8 Hahaha, agreed
link me to such a video.
Yes,the words on the electrode holders really describes what they do to the EAF's contents!
it says "fox"
This was probably the first pouring of the company. There are a lot of observers that probably knew nothing about the process.
That’s a lot of assumption-stacking.

Exactly my thoughts, too.
It's good to see a company give a FUCH about what it does..

Um....am I the only one who notices that at 0:59 the arm holding the electrode is branded "FUCKS"
😂
It's "Fuchs", I guess.
@@gustavoturm ah ... I see, though that H looks too close to a K given its placement.
Largest elecrodes?
Three rods of lighting to power that fast cooker.
that is graphite electrode
Good job , keep going 👍
By far the cleanest steel plant I have ever seen. Electric Arc furnaces are so bonkers!
I produce graphite electrodes in China. Business is welcome

Why do the rods move up and down? To keep the arc?

The heads are on regulators (auto mode if you will) at least that's why they go up and down on the arc furnace I run lol
Well apparently the Rods contain something to make Plasma
With just a couple of volts
