Just as predicted in late stage capitalism. Profit maximizing for the rich, ruling elite.
You think PP and the Cons will change that system dynamics of rich private rule over the capitalist economic system? Haha, not a chance.
It's so sad how critical thinking is systematically repressed in the people, by design, and it means people don't know what they don't know and those are really big issues they don't understand, unless they seek out the information themselves. Like if they watch Culture in Decline series by Peter Joseph, it can be very awakening, but how many people are ready for that?

As a person living for around twenty years in Canada, the real problem is too much supply of human resources from outside Canada especially from India. This is around 35% and trying to concentrate in certain areas of Canada. This has caused too much burden on Health care, Transportation, housing, and other public services in those areas. Unlike the time I migrated to Canada, all places are now overcrowded. There are not enough job opportunities due to the large influx of students. Thousands of applicants for one job from the day they arrive here. You can get some idea of how many applied on the job site Indeed. This has resulted in companies and job agencies exploiting students by paying low wages and firing them indiscriminately. Therefore, both the Canadian government and the Indian government have a role to play and Students too should be aware of the real situation here.

2:25 @@rajg4512 Please don't be narrow minded. We all want to live better no question about that. Canada is one of the best countries to settle. However we should preserve that state to future generations migrating from India. Students should consider settling in different provinces to overcome overcrowding. Then there is problem of not enough industries in those areas for jobs Most students want to recover their tuition fees by doing whatever job available. They all try to settle near an industrial area. This problem should be solved by the Canadian government before bringing students from the outside world. Canada is a big country. My advice is to students migrating from India to first select a province which is not over crowded. Stay there for a while and see if you can find a job there. If no other option is available there only move to a busy area.

The main reason that Canada is bringing in half a million migrants and hundreds of thousands of students is to keep the property prices high. If they slow down intake of migration and international students property prices will crash and with it the Canadian economy. Canada earns billions in migration fees, education fees and of course cheap labor like cleaners, carers, and taxi drives, jobs that canadian-born residents will not do.
Most students are financed by their Mum and Dad Bank, lived a sheltered life with maids and drivers but with no skills, so they go overseas, and forced to do menial jobs to survive. Back home the family will be looking for a rich partner.

Lady, don’t talk about housing crisis. At least Canadian politicians ( irrespective of liberals or democrats) debate on affordable housing in parliaments. Where as Indian politicians don’t have the guts to speak about high cost of living.. Check for cost of living in metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad. Indians have to shell crores of money to buy their dream homes, some of which they don’t know if the project or property has any litigations.

    • @darkryder2434
      @darkryder2434 7 місяців тому +3

This is not entirely true. While the cost of living has increased in major metropolitan cities in India when compared to early 21st century, it is still very much below the cost of living in major cities globally. What you said about the property value holds true only in urban areas and areas which are considered upmarket. Properties are still affordable in the suburban areas which lie within the metropolitan area of a city and not all the properties have litigation issues.

If I decided to immigrate to India, you can be sure I would have investigated everything and made a visit or two to check things out first, lined up a job and then make my decision. If they made the wrong decision, it's no one's fault but their own--not Canada's.

You should tell us how many Indian immigrants actually went back to India . Not many . I have seen 20% interest rate here and you think 5% interest rate is high . Indian community is the richest immigrant community in North America . People move to United States and move back to Canada which is normal . 17.5% left Canada but 82.5% are still here , what does that tell you ? There is housing shortage and that will be solved in time . A lot of these problems are caused due to covid shutdown and excessive immigrants coming from India . Question should be asked why so many leaving India ? In 2021 and 2022 , about 900000 Indian immigrants came to Canada and 2023 will likely be close to half a million . We Indian may not like cold weather but we are very comfortable in inside house . So far this year I only had to shovel snow twice and not for months . There is no shortage of job opportunities but One need to be flexible of courier . Canada still tops in most standards and consistently in top 10 among all countries of the world .

I think racism is on the rise in Canada, because communites are seeing masses of Indians overtaking their community and erasing canadian culture and replacing it with their own. India is a third world country, I don't think nice canadian communities are receptive to tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of Indians then coming into that community and speaking their own language, playing their own music, following their own relegion, celebrating their own holidays, dressing like they do back home, playing cricket and soccer etc... and that becoming common place rather than tradidional canadian culture. They want canada to stay Canadian and I'm all for that. Not to mention the housing crisis.

Canada is not all about oneself as many Newcomers would like it to be. Most Canadians worked dam hard for years to achieve what we have today. We did not beg our Government for handouts or cry because money was sometimes short, no we did not....we worked harder and showed determination. Unlike many Newcomers to Canada.

I am a Mexican living in Mexico, I have visited Canada on several occasions and I think it is an excellent place to live. The part I don't understand about this report is: if people are leaving Canada, why is the cost of housing still high? In my opinion, the people who are now leaving Canada realized too late that they cannot afford the standard of living in a country like Canada. The same would have happened if they had emigrated to England, France, the United States or Germany. The phenomenon has more to do with the value of work than with Canada. In the last two decades the value of unskilled work has plummeted, no one can live in a moderately developed country with an unskilled job, to make matters worse, now white collar jobs have also begun to disappear. Society is simply transformed again and the effects of this transformation begin to be noticed first in those countries where life is more expensive.

Personally, I think Canada lacks strong leadership. Has for a long time. No vision what the country is and where it is headed. Right now for instance, they plan to bring in 500K immigrants per year. With a shortage in housing already, things are going to get worse. Immigrants who have foreign experience and education are totally ignored. Why is that? Don't bring immigrants in when you do not have a plan of integration. Toronto has the most educated cab drivers in the world. Racism. My brother got his Cdn degree in Chem Engineering. Could not even get an interview in his field for 3 years. He changed his first name on the resume to a Christian one. Right away got 2 interviews. Disgusted he moved to Singapore. Within 2 weeks he got an engineering job. Two weeks! He returned to Canada after 3 years. With the experience under his belt, he got a job right away. He stayed a few years but did not like it anymore. Did not feel like home. Moved to the U.S. Headhunters call him frequently. Canada and U.S., both western nations, the opportunities are less in Canada. The question is why?

The health care system of Canada is getting worse. Millions of Canadians are at waiting list. If you need to make simple MRI why you have to wait for ,6 months? You forget to mention this point. Don't get me wrong as I love Canada but we can't tolerate the very high taxations & unaffordable housings and a controversial health care system

@@ghassanjneinaty4421 Sorry, my comment is that of a Mexican who does not live in Canada, I do not intend to minimize the concerns of Canadians.
My only argument is that the immigrants who have decided to leave Canada due to the high cost of living at the time did not take into account that in Canada, as in the rest of the world, you cannot live with an unskilled job.
I am sure that many doctors and engineers that live in Canada, and arrived as immigrants now have a better life than in their countries of origin.
The high cost of housing and deficiencies in health services are a global problem, as are pensions. People simply live longer today than they did 40 years ago, adding to that, new medical treatments are more expensive, 50 years ago a doctor only had X-rays at his disposal, now he has MRI. Every improvement in the standard of living comes with a significant increase in the cost of living. Unfortunately, the only way to cover it is with more taxes but for that you require people to have a higher income, but it turns out that with new technologies more can be done with fewer people, which puts downward pressure on salaries.
Our society is experiencing a change that has not been seen since the beginning of the industrial revolution, in my opinion it will take decades before the waters calm down.

My parents immigrated to Canada 30+ years ago, so I came as a school kid. That's the only reason I can afford to live here today. If I arrived as a new immigrant, I couldn't afford to pay living expenses, forget about buying a house or sending my kids to good universities. Every immigrant friend of mine agrees that there's simply no "upward mobility" left in Canadian society any more, and we worry constantly about our kids generation. Generally Indian immigrants who come to Canada tend to be comfortable if they come from places like Dubai/UAE after saving a million or more dollars. Their savings provide the "cushion" to essentially pay living expenses while they try and find a foothold in this job market over 10-15 years. I've also met Indian tech workers with American H1B visas who immigrated to Canada when their chances of obtaining a US Green Card looked bleak - They also come with lots of savings from the US. But "real Canadian success stories" of average folk who come to Canada with average means and make a much better life for themselves.. You simply don't hear such cases any more, which were common until 30 years ago.

Regardless of all the mud-slinging in the comments, I strongly advise any prospective immigrants to Canada to consider their situation/ aspirations seriously before making the move to Canada. While Canada is indeed a beautiful country, especially from spring to fall, there is no doubt that it has fallen behind severely in recent years. This is a massively underperforming country and people (Canadians and immigrants alike) are struggling big time. There is a massive leadership problem in Canada, where trivial problems get 99% of the attention. Real problems (which are easily solvable by the way) get little to no attention at all. Either there is very little will or the current administration is simply incompetent. Either way, some structural changes need to happen before Canada can recover.

Many Indian studenrs here have high expectations but poor background and inadequate English language skills. It is a shame that people are getting into Canada with false documentation and credentials. Also they are enrolling in very dubious schools and it is no surprise that they find life here very difficult. Hopefully the Canadian government will take greater care to see that only suitable candidates are allowed to come to Canada as students. Also students from other countries should avoid coming here if they don't really have sufficient skills and should make sure that they are choosing reputable educational institutions. 0:56 - "As per Statistics Canada.. " - Statistics Canada is a 52 year old org publishing census data, in 2005, 2011 and most recently in 2021. Why didn't WION look in to the reports earlier, showing the trend of 2 decades? Because only now Canada has condemned in public the murders by the BJP Gov't. So Canada was a friendly country to WION just 3 years ago! 🤣

Most important thing many miss is canada had taken 8 lakh immigrants which is too much high w.r.t Canadian economy. As canada not have capability to job to immigrants and their citizens combine with their high wages.

Canada is one of the most beautiful countries.. there are issues in every country. Living in Canada for 13 years has been a wonderful experience. Where I live, you might reach -40 in winter at the same time you can sit inside your home wearing a t shirt. In summer, it turns into paradise. Remember both wife and Husband has to work. Otherwise stay in India.

I don't think that beautiful scenery can put food on the table or provide affordable housing or reasonable fuel prices or solve the real problems Canada is facing right now. Remember even a super model needs to learn relationship skills to be in a relationship, can't expect your beauty to solve everything in your life.
Edit: Canada has seriously fallen behind other countries severely.

This apartment is now $2000.00. My car insurance from $80.00 raised to $135.00. Groceries tripled. $3000-$2135= $865.
