@Brooks Holt So I go from watching you on the struggle bus in your recent video (your luck took an absolute nasty turn) to seeing you on a CR video. Can't have enough Brooks
That's 60 days of filming in 6 hour segments. 4h*90m=360 hours, 360/6=60 (because 6 was easier than 8). For 8 hour days that would be 360/8 = 45 days of filming. A significantly shorter time scale than what most movies of the same length take. Mostly because those have blocking and dialogue, which take a lot of time and rehearsal to get exactly right.
I would point out those last 3 cogs were meant to help you with the combination lock - the shapes inside of them refer to the shape of the holes in which the symbols sit, and the cog shape itself refers to each one of the 3 dials. This was supposed to help you know the order in which to put them in, but obviously trial and error works too!
I actually solved it by the teeth on the gears compared to the shapes and wonder how he missed that, and then he opens up a literal solution and doesn't see the connection.
CHRIS, YOU FINISHED A MINUTE AND A HALF LONG SCENE IN 4 HOURS. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG THAT WOULD TAKE NORMALLY. I make small horror films as a hobby, and they're only 8 minutes long at the most. THE 8 MINUTE ONE TOOK ME A WEEK.
The 3 magnetic cogs were meant to help you solve the other side with the drawer. They are the same shapes as the side with the cogs with arrows on them. My guess is the magnetic cogs will be attracted to the 3 symbols that repelled the key.
I came to say the same thing! I noticed the symbols were in different shapes (hexagon, septagon, and octogon) and figured it had to be a clue to where to position the cogs to unlock the drawer.
I'm liking the thought of needing parts from one to complete other puzzles down the road. If I were to make something like this I think I would have to include the stand from the 1st puzzle so that it would be needed for the 2nd or 3rd puzzle. I think that would be completely unexpected.
I cant temember how i found your channel but all 4 ppl that live in my house watch you. Then, strangely enough, my 16 year old daughter who i have recently reconnected with after 15 years loves your channel as well. It has given us some break the ice material and something to bond over. Thank you for this channel my friend.
wow i loved this puzzle! It was so simple and genuine but also complicated! Just the right amount of head scratching to have a lot of fun. Looking forward to part 2
Chris, the 3 discs/gears you found at the and snap into the symbols (the side with the 3x3 pattern) showing you which gear must be set to which symbol. you got it with the magnet key but the intention is to use the 3 gears.
Man that intro! When the camera zoomed in on your running feet and cut black with the bass it actually gave me goosebumps. Yall should really direct a movie!
“Comment down below, it really helps”. Well Chris you are the reason that I got into playing card collecting, card magic and cardistry. I’ve now been doing it for 5 years and still watch your vids. Thank you I owe my very enjoyable hobby to you. I’m happy to support such an inspirational creator such as yourself.
I swear nobody else can compete with these fantastic intros. They really make my day nothing else compares. I feel like you could produce a damn movie!
Hey man! I think that the three cogwheels that you got out of the last drawer in the video (like at the end). I think those actually represented the other gogwheels that had to be aimed right. And i think those three magnatize/stick to the other part where you felt the opposit of megnatize with the key. And that way you could figure out the code to the cogwheels. IDK of this makes sense
The magnetic gears show the shape of the holes around the symbols you used for the other side with the same shaped gears. The "top" row shows a hexagon shape around the symbols, the gear with the hexagon in the middle is the same shape of the gear you need to turn to match that symbol. Same with the heptagon and octagon; the gear with the shape in the middle matches the gear that you need to use to match the symbol. But I also hope you need the gears (and maybe even the keys?) in the next puzzle too!
I want to say I wish I found these videos sooner, but now I get the joy of going back through all of them going forward. You really inspire the inner solver, thank you for the great content!
Brother, you and your team have been killing it, keep up the work. Ive been watching you for awhile now and where it all started to where your at, intros, content, you name it; are spot on. The best thing with your UA-cam channel is that all your content never feels mundane or repeated. Love the vids.
I love the intros, Chris. Don't ever stop making them. And what a steampunk treasure. It wasn't until I stumbled across one of your videos that I became aware that puzzles were much more than those flat things depicting landscapes and kittens. I thank you for opening my eyes to my new obsession! Peace and curiosity ever be within.
As always the intros never disappoint, probably my favorite so far. Hey Chris this makes my second favorite puzzle ever with that first steampunk box as the first, love Wednesdays!
Not gonna lie, I usually skip the intro bc I like watching these before bed to calm down but this time I watched the intro and it was so good ! Definitely gives u some inspiration for backstory on these puzzles !!
The intros are amazing in every video that I've seen and are part of the reason that this is my favorite puzzle channel on UA-cam. Edit: saw your gloves up close and now I wish to know where I can find them myself.

props to the designer of this puzzle, reminds me so much of The room. this is a legendary puzzle, i cant wait to see how the other puzzle boxes will include the pieces from this one!!!!!!!!
I do love the effort you put into making the intros! The fact that you make them at all makes your videos way more appealing than some of the woodworking ones I sometimes watch that are titled "nobody's ever thought of this before...." With no details about what it actually is!! I rarely "like" those! I mean, the hubris!!!! Like they are the only one in the world to think of things!!
I was yelling at my phone, Chris go back and look at the part where you got the code from the magnet repelling it corresponded to which cog based on how many sides were on the clue

Best comment ever between both my favorite UA-camrs. Please do a puzzle solving mini golf video! Like to agree
Chris: "Yeah, we finished produduction in like 4 hours."
Every film producer ever: "What is this dark magic?"
I mean, thats generally how it is in the industry. This was only a 1 minute intro like the others. If its four hours, imagine a 90 minute movie.
That's 60 days of filming in 6 hour segments. 4h*90m=360 hours, 360/6=60 (because 6 was easier than 8). For 8 hour days that would be 360/8 = 45 days of filming.

I’m convinced that Chris only does puzzles so he has an excuse to make these epic intros
Maybe but who knows lies on his sleeves? After all he is a magician so he can just use misdirection to fool us XD
he’s a great actor
😂😂😂LOL😂😂😂
Can you blame him though? They always come out so epically on point.
Chris Ramsay definitely deserves a award for best intros ever on UA-cam!!!!!!!
