I’m super new to sewing my own clothing (just finished my first piece a few days ago!) and I can’t express to you how helpful your videos have been! I love your style, so it’s been lovely learning about patterns through your videos. And your presence is super calming and down to earth, which makes starting something new feel super approachable and accessible. We also align on values such as sustainability and size inclusivity, which I really appreciate. Anyway, thanks for being here and being you! 💗
I think it would be interesting and beneficial if you could talk more about the pieces you've made that you're not wearing as much. Why did you choose the pattern and fabric at first? What specifically about the finished product keeps you from wearing it? What are your plans for the piece since you aren't wearing it as much? What did you learn from the process and the piece? (This one could apply to all your makes really)
Everything you made looks lovely, and that cute shirred top😍. This summer I felt brave enough to do shirred dresses for the first time and I’m in love!!! And so much easier than I thought!!! Congrats 👏
The UA-cam video they have up walked me through grading the pattern between the top and bottom - so easy and it fits me perfectly! I wonder if that would help? Looks beautiful regardless 💓
I like a lot the things you made and also your self drafted pieces. I am also preparing s video about my makes in summer because I think it is a good way of seeing all our items together 😉
I felt the same with the saltwater slip, first one I made was too small and tight and looked like a tube. The second one I made it 2 sizes bigger from the waist down. I left out the bust darts too, now it's more of a flowly slip.
You could try combine the top part of the Saltwater slip with the bottom of the Reynolds dress pattern? (it has that nice back seam shaping as well as the side splits.
hey cassie! i made the sadie slip dress pattern and I think the thing that is missing is cutting the piece on the bias. definitely check that pattern out!
Hi Cassie, congrats on your beautiful makes 👍 your video about slow-sewing opened my eyes, thanks for that 😂 now I try to celebrate the making process and it turns out it's a lot more fun that thinking I have to be as fast as a sewer in a Asian factory 😉 Have a nice day

Great idea thank you!
would love to see a video of your shirring! that top is SO cute.
Hi there. You mentioned wanting to make another slip dress. Have you seen Style Arc's Juno Slip Dress? I think you might like it.
Thank you!

Thanks so much! Shirring definitely looks scarier than it is!
The shirred top is so cute !
Thanks so much!
Love your makes cassie

Lovely projects!

I was actually thinking that this would be a good option!
Love these types of videos! Can I ask, how do you like your machine? I’m researching an upgrade to my current very basic machine.
I love my machine. It's a b38 -- definitely a pricier machine but its been great for me

Hi Cassie! Love all your makes especially the pink dress! Do you have a serger? I would love to hear your experience if you do!
I don’t have a serger!
Love seeing what you’ve made. I feel super encouraged to keep going and keep making!
Oh that’s so nice to hear!
That dress is cute, but if you don't like the fit...if you cut it on the bias it would move with you and have a floaty look.
I love your makes ! I love Hubbading pattern aesthetic, if you don’t make their dress will you make something else from them later ?
One of my first names was a Hubbading pattern ☺️
Tessuti have a great slip dress. You might prefer theirs
That’s the one I’m considering!
@@MakingCassie I've made it a couple times. It's cut on the bias, so it fits quite nicely to the body. Love tessuti instructions too.
Looking for really good linen. Where would you recommend? I appreciate it. I love your videos!
I love www.the fabric store.com for linen! I work with them but I’m not paid to say this ☺️
I just found your Chanel, great makes, I find you talk very fast it’s hard to keep up. No offence intended 😁
Oops! It’s not sped up or anything but I’ll try to be conscious of this!
