I remember watching this game with my uncle, the whole game we were yelling and screaming at the TV, but the part I remember the most was with 5 minutes left it was 21-20. We were both more nervous than a pitt fan walking in Morgantown, and ole Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce Irvin and the WVU Defense owned pitt's QB. After the game was over i put John Denver in the CD player and we stood shoulder to shoulder swaying back and forth singing Country Roads. Best Backyard Brawl I ever watched. And that was the best memory I have of watching College Football. LET'S GO!!!!! MOUNTAINEERS!!!!!!!!

Pitt and WVU need to renew the backyard brawl. As much as a despise WVU, I miss playing them. Hopefully the next meetings will spark the two schools to keep it going. Pitt should play Penn State and West Virginia each year regularly.
I'm a WVU alum and couldn't agree more - it's good for the programs and the fan bases. They've played this game 104 times and you don't just throw that away. And it's not as if it's a chore for the visiting team to travel. The ADs need to schedule this as an OOC game every year and put aside whatever reasons they don't.
