The ribbed indoor/outdoor carpet works very well. It clears most of the junk concentrates, and holds on to the gold like crazy. I have caught tons of minus 20 mesh flour gold using nothing but ribbed carpet - no expanded metal or riffles of any type. It's pretty much unbeatable for flour gold capture for the price and weight.
Glad to see you're using a gold cloth pan I have been using it for over 2 years and I can collect every bit of flour gold and separate it from the Black sands I don't take home any black sand concentrates. Just the gold. I have a list of over 20 rivers that contain gold. I have found many similarities that gold lies in layers some layers have the gold and some layers do not that's know what you're looking for and dig the right dirt without wasting time
@@chewyfingers1288 I do think Dream May would work well. I don’t think it would behave in its normal manner as there isn’t enough flow, but it would trap the gold and heavies well. I don’t know if it would be enough of a difference in this application to justify the expense. I do use it and love it in my sluice and highbanker.

Do you think dream mat would work in stead of the carpet?
