I saw them both one year apart in the same venue in Antwerp (B) but them together is another league - the pure joy they are channeling is so uplifting. Thanks for sharing your recordings
This was such a special show. Thanks again for posting these clips. This was one of the best Acoustically sounding little theaters I've ever been too. They renovated it and it's so perfect for a stripped down show like this. Amazing seeing them together. It was really like they'd been playing together their whole lives. They brought out the best in each other. The whole show was just perfect. I don't think I ever saw Chris Thile before but I'm definitely catching him any chance I get. And Billy is always incredible in concert. This was next level stuff the way they played off each other throughout the show!
Wow. I’ve been listening to both these young men for quite few years now, but never seen them together before. I think they were pushing each other to go even beyond their usual superlative selves.
Their joy of playing this kind of music together is infectious to both of them. You can tell they love it. Read their faces. Such a joy to watch two people playing music they love. Billy is a huge bluegrass player. Chris plays anything like the GOAT he is but he’s lovin it too. A joy to experience.
I was a kid working at Arlington Music when John Duffey was the only Martin Guitar repairman outside of Nazareth. John was with The Seldom Scene at that time and I was privileged to play this with him in the store, I think we were 1/2 of the tempo.😊
Saw Billy at Crested Butte a few years ago. Fun show, but I’ve never ever felt so self-consciously white in my life as at a bluegrass show at a ski resort in Colorado. Muy gringoso.
Two of the greatest bluegrass musicians alive today. What a pleasure to see them on stage together, playing Doc’s songs, one of life’s true treasures.
There are not enough thumbs up in the world for this.
Chris Thile never ceases to amaze me with every solo. The creativity and precision, combined with his passion, is unmatched. A musical treat.
I hope I am still around a long while to see what these guys can do as they move past peak prodigy to peak soul.

OMG...Chris is from another planet. And Billy is really getting those Doc Watson licks down.
