The Willy's driver demonstrated a lot of experience in gear selection and wheeling. its not about power to the engine but true wheeling requires a technique.
Just aquired my cj10a tug hope it is this capable. Low mileage sd33. Late model pistons. 4:88 gear lockers front and rear hope to do a modern version of a willys pickup with custom shortbed.
Have you heard of the TRJC (two rivers jeep club) its a jeep club out of Pittsfield, Illinois that wheels on private trails! www.trjc.com theres the site!

Sounds like a mighty unique rig which will always trump the regular Jeeps. Good luck with the build.

International Harvester Scout, I believe around 1968.
Sick jeep you got an Instagram?
It would be great if you have to be the first half of the best thing to me

Yep, I was Secretary/Treasurer of the club for many years so know it well.
This past safari was my first time jeeping, and I had a blast. Cant wait to build my own rig.
